X-Men: Apocalypse announced for May 2016

I thought the trailer was better than the Captain America or the Bat v Supes one and as has been pointed out already the bald McAvoy reveal is pretty awesome.

That is the same wheelchair Patrick Stewart used in the 1st X-Men movie. They had to buy it back from a collector!

X-MEN Age Of Apocalypse, is the vibe I got from the trailer.

My A:AOU theatrical experience left me feeling a little burned so I must admit I am a bit nervous about this one looking so similar. I will need to be convinced it is better than AoU before I buy tickets.

Loved the trailer. Loved Apocalypse's voice. I do think they were carefully editing where Apocalypse was shown to give the best shots, but I still think he'll work quite well (giant Apocalypse was the highlight for me).

There are plenty of explosions in the X-Men films, so I don't know what you're getting at.

As for story, if this was the MCU we'd be getting much better focus on the X-Men instead of the villains.

I DID notice a shot of Apocalypse mass-shifting and growing in size, which is all kinds of awesome.

That's exactly the shot I was looking at. He just looks like a guy in makeup. Apocalypse is my favorite X-villain and he should be this massive intimidating force... he should look like more than just a man. Preferably about eight feet tall It would have been nice if they at least gave him all white eyes.

I still think having the tubes run down his head makes him look vaguely slippery and snake-like which is just weird for a character that I've always associated with grandeur and brute force. But Isaac seems like he'll do a good job, anyway, at least. I do really hope the size-changing is real, because if that actually turns out to be just some psychic battle, that would be really disappointing.
