They were building a new gal to be the truelove of Tony Stark, while he was in a game of "Kill me if you can't fuck me" with Whitney Frost... Any relation to Emma? If her real name is Nefaria, then I doubt it.

Bros before hos... Does Stark know that Peter is Spider-Man?

Oh.

Mary Jane's memories of the real world before One More Day where she was married to Peter are intact.

She knows what Richards, Stark and Strange did to her life, so maybe revenge is a dish best served cold?

Picked up "Totally Awesome Hulk" #1 and enjoyed it. I like Amedeus Cho and would buy any book starring him written by Greg Pak, Hulked-out or no. Pak quickly resoved Cho's one unresolved storyline from his "Incredible Hercules" run, Cho's missing sister, right off the bat by having her already been found and working with him. I imagine that there is a story behind Maddy's disappearance and return, but there really doesn't need to be one. Amedeus is a man of means and resources and he found his sister. It ultimately doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

They start to touch on what happened to Banner in a flashback sequence that will be continued with the next issue, and presumably through the first arc at least.

ETA: And, of course, the issue ends with an ominous omen that Cho doesn't have the kind of control over the monster that he'd like to think he does.

Totally Awesome Hulk is fun.

I got a problem with the new Daredevil... He got his secret identity back.

####.

Revisionist bullshit.

I concur on all counts. Not sure if I'll bother with issue 2 of Daredevil.

Iron Man continues to be entertaining on its own merits.

Laura Kinney rocks the Wolverine costume and identity better than Logan / Howlett did.

The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl is maybe the best and most avant-garde of the Marvel canon. Certainly amongst the funniest.

All-New Inhumams #1 is amusing and smartly-written. Looking forward to next issue.

Can't say that about the recent X-Men team books. Maybe Uncanny will be the exception.

I was charmed enough by that cover image to check out Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. It seems charming and cute enough in that way webcomics often are but I'm not sure if it can sustain enough over a number of issues to earn its keep.

Finally read Daredevil and wasn't too impressed. Disapointing, as I had high hopes for Charles Soule.

I seem to be in the minority, but I'm enjoying Dr. Strange.

It's superb.

It's the art I have a problem with.

Chris is fantastic, but he's doing exactly the same thing he was 20 years ago.

^I bought Daredevil 1, but haven't read it yet (although I knew about the secret ID thing).

Yeah, people who think things won't go to a statusier quo are silly. I thought it was a good re-introduction. And I have total faith in Soule.

Totally Awesome Hulk will be good for an arc, but I think I can only take so much of Amadeus before getting really annoyed by him.

Howling Commandoes of SHIELD #1&2
Read both back to back and while it's not the exact team I'd pick I found this to be fun. I'll be getting the first arc for certain. No Man-Thing in issue #2 and scarce use in #1. There may be too many "large" monsters on this team. It seems set up for Dracula and then seeing Sphinx that elements are in play to make this a fun ride.

Anyone else pick this series up?

Just finished Black Knight #2. Still very interesting, but I'm not sure I like where it's going. I don't want Dane to be evil. :( But Frank Tieri loves the character, and I doubt he'd ruin him forever. Something tells me things aren't quite what they seem to be (what was with those weird monkeys in space helmets at the end?).

His annoyance at Deadpool being an Avenger was amusing.

Secret Wars #8. Lots of pretty pictures but I feel like nothing really happened in this issue, just lots of punching. Looking back on it, I am generally disappointed with this entire Secret Wars story. The main series was alright but the tie-ins were generally bad.

In the final analysis, "Time Runs Out" will be the high point of Hickman's Avengers run for me, and for pretty much anything he's written. There were so many moments that truly stuck with me. I loved seeing the heroes of the Marvel U driven to desperate extremes and the true end of the world.

Secret Wars has been pretty disappointing. some of the tie-in minis were enjoyable. some. i totally agree that Time Runs Out was the high point of Hickman's run.

How easy would it be to pick up the post-Secret Wars stuff without having ready anything set after the Civil War-Siege era?

you might be confused about some of the people running around as Captain America, Thor and Hulk. i don't think it would be too hard to pick up. just depends on what you want to read really.

This is still one of my all time favorite comics scenes, at least it was until it was immediately undone:

“I know that look. You’re wondering, what am I waiting for? … Because I want him to know- really know– it’s over. To fully realize there’s no forgiveness for what he’s done. That there is a price and he’s finally going to pay it- that there’s no mercy for men like him, and even if there was, he doesn’t get any.” (The camera pans in on Namor’s face as he wakes up… realizes what happened… and explodes in rage…) “I want him to know this is how it ends. And more than that… I want him to know… it was me.”
“Where is he, T’Challa? Where’s Namor?”
“He’s not coming,” T’Challa says.
