Bear Down! Hanging around with a losing record is no easy task.

A man who knows his season is done.

I think that's a man who knows his career is over.

The win is more about what's wrong with Green Bay than what the Bears (10 penalties, though some were complete BS) did right.

Still nice to see Green Bay go down.

I'm not sure I've ever seen Rodgers so completely out of sync with his receivers. That was a weird game.

Romo is a classic example of a guy who comes back too soon from an inury.

I doubt it's his career but the Cowboys are going to have to address the QB situation relatively soon. I'm curious as to how they are going to approach the draft next season. They are going to end up with a high 1st round draft pick and I wonder if they decide to continue to build for one last shot with Romo or go after a QB. Not a great QB draft class. You'd be looking at Paxton Lynch, Connor Cook or Goff from Cal. Regardless Romo will still be starting for the next two years at least.

Another issue is that Matt Cassel is the only QB on the roster right now as they cut Weedon to make room for Romo.

We all know Jerry Jones will go nuts and trade the Cowboys' first-round pick for Manziel.

Yes!!! Go Hawks! Hopefully they can maintain that playoff berth.

AMAZING game for Russell Wilson on his 27th birthday. A Seahawks record 5 TD passes.

Ugh, another rough game for the Pats. Don't really care about the loss, nice to get the 'undefeated' monkey off their backs. Because now they can rest people as needed, punt the last game completely if needed, and maybe have a chance and having enough living players to field a roster.

Gronk and Hightower go down this time, not sure how much more of this they can take. Rumor is that Gronk's knee isn't serious, but not great. Hopefully nothing more than sprain or slight MCL issue, and a few weeks' rest will take care of it. Waiting on MRI, but they didn't think it was ACL...

And refs covered themselves in glory again. Getting pretty damned frustrating. they were very involved with the 4th quarter, and basically decided things. Offensive PI on Gronk every time someone throws his way is getting old. Defenders are now just initiating contact knowing he'll get blamed for it. Shitty hold call in the end zone turns 3rd and 17 into 1st and goal, lets Broncos score the go-ahead TD. Next play, Lafell has 2 guys riding piggyback and no call. If they're going to call it tight, don't do it randomly, k? And SOMETHING seemed screwy with that 'bonus' timeout the Broncos got for injury at the end. Not sure how that worked, but they got an extra one without penalty, but then they started running time off the clock for the Pats, so would have thought timeout lasted until the snap. Almost cost them the game right there, but fortunately they were paying enough attention to make a move and get in range for the tying FG.

Not JUST bitching about the refs, plenty of chances for the Pats to pull out a win anyway, just not enough healthy bodies to pull it out. Don't fumble that punt, and Broncos probably never even get in the game, that one was the back-breaker right there. At some point, though, something's gotta give with the refs, they've had a TERRIBLE year.

Edit: found the rule for the "excess time out" play. Enforced right, just odd I guess. And they gotta make sure people know it's going to restart, maybe? Tell the team "time out", implies the clock is going to stop. But it runs so that the defense doesn't start faking injuries to prevent the offense from running the clock out. Maybe just needs a more obvious restart instead of just starting it when the injured player hits the sideline?

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Well damn! Skins rising to first place in the crippled NFC East! Who'da thunk it? Not me! Happy moment in any case.

Upcoming schedule of games actually looks pretty promising. Dallas (3-8) next week (should - hopefully - be easy), then Chicago and Buffalo (both of whom at a statistical tie in standings at 5-6), then Philly (4-7 - should be fun) and then back with Dallas for the final game (snicker). Could it be that my boys might just be potential playoff material, at the very least with a wildcard slot?

Holy shit, maybe so!

Exciting game to watch...

The Steelers did pretty well in a hostile environment, but didn't carry it through the 4th quarter.

Our secondary got torched late... eeesh... even with all the missed opportunities by the Offense, you put up 30 in Seattle that should be enough for a win.

If #10 would do what they pay him for, we would have won the game. He had only one big time catch out of MANY opportunities... All that speed and....:scream:

The Steeler D did their job in the 1st half... our O turned the dam ball over and missed many opportunities.

Wilson really looked at ease after Shazier went out...

Williams ran the ball very well, maybe they should have gone there more.

Line up for a trick play instead of kicking.... had it in the bag but the back-up quarterback didn't put enough air under the ball!!... the big man had the defense beat.

Tough on the Tight Ends in this one. Both teams lost their starter.

Jesse James looks very promising as Heath's successor though.

Now the Steelers are on the outside looking in... gonna have to string a few together here down the stretch...

Colts, Bungles and Broncos coming up...

eeeesh...

Not taking away from the Seahawks victory (they made less mistakes than we did), but I stopped counting at 3 blatant pass interference calls not made on the Hawks... what was it, the 3rd quarter before a flag was thrown against Seattle? Hard to play in that environment and have to beat Seattle and the refs...

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

In other news, the Rams are changing their names officially to The St. Louis 3 and Outs.

:scream:

When I die I want my 6 pallbearers to all be Miami Dolphins so that they can let me down one last time...
