2016 - most anniversaries?

Khan 2.0

next year is going to be 50th (TOS), 30th (TVH), 25th (TUC), and 20th (FC) anniversaries

That must be the year with the most (notable) anniversaries?

2017 is going to be the 51st, 31st,26th, and 21st anniversaries of the above :p

Only the 50th of TOS will get any kind of real attention, and I still fully expect Paramount/CBS to totally drop the ball on that. We won't get an anniversary celebration anywhere near what Doctor Who had back in 2013, I fear.

I wasn't terribly impressed with that one either.

The movie itself surely can be up for discussions, but the organisation of the whole thing - that people around the world sat down at the same hour - my friend in Russia at 1 AM, my friend in the US at 2 PM (numbers randomly made up) and we all watched it in the same minute, that was epic.

Also in the weeks before, watching the world map on the official page being filled with more and more TARDISES (TARDI?) indicating more cinemas that had joined. Fans doing (successful) petitions in countries like Sweden which originally were not on the map. We actually got tickets for another city one hour away as our own refused at first even though we asked - then they realized they want some piece of the cake, and sold out twice that evening. 37 cinemas in Germany alone, selling out minutes after the tickets went live. I had no idea we had so many Who fans over here. Where are they hiding all year long?

It was also great seeing so many fans in costums. Towards the end of the broadcast we had a picture failure - everyone got out their sonic screwdrivers trying to fix it. Something I'll never forget.

And when I am 90 and going to the 100ed anniversary (in 12D!), I will tell all the teenagers that I already have seen the 50th so long ago. That's my goal in life ;)

Unless you were actually talking about the official anniversary convention that took place in London? I've heard that was a bit of a mess.
