Generally not, it's usually a "Lance and Gwen get carried away" rather than moustache-twirling vs. righteous. The great tragedy is that neither is really a "bad guy" but loving the same woman destroys their friendship.
People have brought up Peter Pan, but he's at least a fairly amoral and somewhat sinister figure in the original play so it's not a HUGE leap.
No such excuse with Arthur, this is just... bah. But then, this is the same show that reduced the love between Marian, of all characters, to an inconvenient Obstacle for Regina's Wuv. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised they throw another great hero under the bus to prop up one of their boring-ass people (this time Charming as the One True Shining Knight). Kay and Percival should've been a clue.
Haven't watched the latest episode yet and not sure if I will after seeing Arthur talk his squire into killing himself, but still following the thread. I gave this show another chance despite "Dark Swan" because they're doing Camelot and Merida and because I understand Ruby/Red is coming back. Now... ehh...
