PICTURE POST II!

I have never studied photography. I don't even own a camera. I did however borrow one to take clouds pictures.

Ian is growing out of his Darth Vader costume, so we decided to replace it. We figured he would want another Darth Vader costume. We were wrong, we also have watched The Force Awakens trailer about a thousand times. So here is Ian in his new costume, Kylo Ren.

So....I made this tonight. It's devil's food chocolate cake, the tombstones are Peeps and skeletons are little cardboard cupcake decorations. And, of course, the gummy worms. I know the icing looks like crap--hubby is NOT impressed--but I thought the cake was kinda cute.

Auntiehill- I'd be very happy with that cake. It's wonderful.

Tom Hendericks- That's an awesome costume, and hell of a play room (or whatever you guys call it at home). Nice pictures of Elsa :) It has been a couple of years since Frozen came out and it's still popular. I've been hearing about hordes of kids wearing Elsa costumes walking around this week.

And yeah, I'm looking forward to the new Star Wars movie :)

These photos are from Whittingham's in Fredericksburg, VA. Every Christmas they do great window displays, but they did them for Halloween this year!

Whittingham's sells fancy kitchen gadgets. The displays don't always go with what they sell, though!

I can't WAIT to see what they have planned for Christmas this year!

Auntie, that cake looks awesome. I always tell anyone who complains about my icing ability to feel free to make one themselves. You did good.

Thanks! It was pretty good. I had a small piece, and we gave about 35% of it to hubby's loser-friend--he ate it all in one sitting! We played three board games tonight and I won them all. Woot! Sent a picture of the cake to my nephew who (for now) wants to be a chef. He thought it was pretty funny, in a good way, so that's my seal of approval.

T'Bonz, that is an AWESOME pumpkin!

Went outside tonight and snapped a pic of the super moon. Used my Canon T3i on a tripod. Still came out a little blurry because of camera shake when depressing the shutter button, but I think it's still pretty nice.

Nice shot. I tried getting some shots the night of the Eclipse and it is definitely very tricky. You should invest in a remote shutter release. They are a big help with these kind of tripod shots.

Since it's been a while since I've shared any Amelia pics.

Can't believe she's already 7 months old!

She's gorgeous! Time sure flies, doesn't it? It seems like my little girl was that age just a short time ago and now she's hamming it up for the camera.

I'm so looking forward to the new Star Wars movie as well. That is indeed our playroom. It should be a Formal Living Room but when you have young kids, a formal living room is not necessary. So we set it up for them.

Frozen is still as popular as ever, we went to school yesterday for their Halloween parade. In my sons class, there were 6 Elsa's alone and like 3 Anna's. On a side note, those Frozen pictures are actually mine. We hung them in the playroom but they are actually prints I got from DisneyWorld.

Thought I'd share up here too, 'cause I'm really happy with my costume!
I didn't have money for a costume this year. Fortunately (unfortunately?) I look and dress enough like Velma from Scooby Doo that it didn't matter. Seriously, these are my prescription glasses and regular clothes. The only thing I had to buy for this costume was the socks.

Curled my hair a bit to try to get more her do.

And the shoes old faves that I had't worn in ages till I dug them out this week.

^Looks like you posted while I was composing my post. I'd say you nailed it. Well done!

A few more of my little cosplayer.

Getting ready for a party last week.

Thanks guys! She amazes me every day in many different ways. 7 months old and already crawling and standing herself up along the side of the crib.

As for Halloween costumes, my work had a contest yesterday and while I was the only participant in my store, I was pretty proud of it. In all of my 29 years I have yet to dress up in a Trek costume, but I finally pulled trigger and tonight, all three of us will be in our matching TNG command reds. Pics surely to come. :)
