Warner Bros. Circling David Ayer for DC Comics’ ‘Suicide Squad’

Reminds me of when the actors who played the Fellowship of the Ring in LOTR all got tattoos of "nine" in Tengwar.
I had the same thought. I'm not a tattoo kind of person, but I guess if you get them then it would be a great way for the group to bond.

I don't normally trade in rumors, but I thought this one wsa interesting enough to discuss.

Allegedly Enchantress is the primary villain of film, and the person the Suicide Squad is assembled to take down.

I'm super ok with this. June Moon has always teetered on being a heroine and a villainess. Plus I think it could provide an interesting fight dynamic against the SS.

^But they might not be actual costumes from the movie, since they're for the cover shoots. Or at least they might not be the main costumes for those characters.

I'm pretty sure we saw Enchantress in a different outfit, and I guess I can see Joker being shirtless in these promo shots so they can show off the tattoos.
I just thought it was an interesting comparison to Marvel, who haven't shown nearly this much skin. I guess since DC looks like it might be targeting a slight older audience, they must have decided to play up the sex appeal angle.

With a title like Suicide Squad, I think it's safe to assume, that DC is not trying to wrangle the kids into theaters to see this movie.

Also, I don't see the Enchantress image as opting for sex appeal. Nothing about that image suggests "try and f*ck me". Unlike the way Michael Bay shoots women in his films. The image of Enchantress is creepy and haunting, and to me at least, communicates "don't f*ck with me". Sort of like how Dr. Manhattan can strut about with no cloths or a lack there of, and people get the point to not mess with him.

If these are actual costumes from the movie, then it looks like there will be a lot of people, not wearing a lot of clothes in this movie. We've got Harley's very short shorts, Joker apparently spending quite a bit of time shirtless, and now whatever that is Enchantress isn't wearing.
I've been rather impressed with Marvel for actually keeping most of their female characters pretty well covered most of the time, but it looks like that won't be the case with DC, or at least SS.

From my acquaintance with mainstream tastes, most people will say "Ah! She's disgusting!" Unless this goth-punk look they're going with somehow crosses over. (A look I like, BTW.)

I'm wondering about that thing Joker's holding. Presumably what he uses to torture Harley - but maybe also a weapon?

I love this one - he looks like a cartoon!

I'm hoping Deadshot will be a success, and that DC will be the franchise with actual non-white main characters.

Hey, they already gave us Steel and Catwoman! :D

And more seriously, folks... Marvel already did a Blade trilogy, but that was a while back. Although I think I heard a rumor that they've talked to Wesley Snipes about maybe bringing Blade into the MCU.

Plus Black Panther is on his way (ironically, I remember Wesley being linked to that role years ago).

You'd imagine that having Will Smith play the role is likely to ensure a certain amount of success anyway, even if he's not quite the cast-iron draw he was a few years ago.

The rumor I heard was that the possible new blade would actually be Blade's daughter, but that they might want Snipes to cameo if possible.

^ Was that maybe people jumping to conclusions because the Blade comic has been re-launched, giving him a daughter who fights alongside him?
