Marvel Studios may be planning more MCU for the small screen

BTW, for Daredevil, I drank Manhattans. It's a red drink with an appropriate name. Can anyone think of a good drink for Jessica Jones? I figured she'd drink something self-destructive, but I'd like it to be something relatively drinkable because I'd like to enjoy myself.

Well, the title for episode three is "AKA: It's Called Whiskey"... ;)

When I was thinking of something self-destructive, a Four Horsemen came to mind. But, let's just say "no." I'd prefer it to be a mixed drink that mixes something that's not whiskey in there.

Maybe something purple?

There's a drink called Purple Haze.
There are several versions of it, but the original is basically a Cosmopolitan made with Blue Curacao in place of Triple Sec.

That's actually a pretty great idea for a TV show, hopefully it goes well.

I'm still hoping for a Runaways show on ABC Family (which skews more toward teenagers/young adults) some day.

There have been a few rumors like that for Runaways, but none of them have come to pass. They have done Stitchers, which I never watched, and are working on an adaptation of the YA Urban Fantasy series The Mortal Instruments, called Shadowhunters, so ABC Family is doing SFF again. If those are successful enough then I wouldn't be surprised if we did get some kind of a Marvel series, either Runaways, Young Avengers or something else.

You haven't missed much. I watched the pilot, and it was the stupidest primetime SF show I've seen in a long time. Not just "stupid" in the vernacular sense of "something I don't like," but in the literal sense of being unintelligent and poorly thought out.

The Inhumans rumor was debunked.

Well, they say the film is still happening, but there's no saying it'll be as was planned.

I admit that change or inserting mutants into the MCU is unlikely, but you never know....Fox and Marvel working together's pretty unlikely too !

Here's the thing, though. Fox's movies may not hit the same heights as the Avengers, but they're still successful movies and fox doesn't have to share any of the credit or profit with Marvel Studios. They're not going to abandon the characters (and popular actors) that they have already pumped lots of time, effort and money into. And MS cannot include those characters in the MCU, because the two worlds are completely incompatible (unless they do some kind of limited crossover movie, like all the old Marvel/DC comics where inter-dimensional tears are threatening the fabric of the multiverse).

Maybe improved cooperation can lead to a little more leniency in edge cases or to some possible deal for FF (and supporting char.) rights, but it simply isn't possible for the MCU to bring in the idea of mutants (as seen in X-Men) at this point.

Oh I agree. Days of Future Past was a better movie than Age of Ultron. No-one's expecting Fox to hand back the X-Men and I think to try and fudge mutants into the MCU would be difficult.

Doing a MCU/Sony Spidey share with the FF, Skrulls, Galctus and co. in the MCU could work though, and an interdimensional crossover between MCU and X-Men universes would work for those characters. Leaving the FF in the MCU but continuing to experiment on dimensional travel would allow Fox to continue to use both.

They'd have to drag Jackman back though, even if it was as Old Man Logan...

With regards to Marvel potential getting some X-Men characters back.

Keep in mind that X-Men Apocalypse and Old Man Logan are the last time we are going to see the current actors play those roles.

Jackman, Mcavoy, Fassbender, Hoult, Lawrence, Stewart etc, won't be coming back for any future X-Men movies.

This potentially frees up the major X-Men players to be recast and used in an MCU property.

While Fox goes ahead with Deadpool, Gambit and their New Mutants movies.

Again, this is speculation, but it could happen if Marvel and Fox make a deal like Sony did for Spider-Man.

They should have a cross over movie with the Human Torch and Captain America and make Chris Evans play every part in the movie.

[begin rant] I am hoping against hope that Marvel will somehow be able to utilize the Xmen for the MCU. I for one am sick of seeing the inhumans, showing up in Agents of Shield and elsewhere. Cool story points at time, but I don't give a crap about the inhumans. The feud is even bleeding over into the comic books putting the xmen on the back burner while pumping up the inhumans or even changing the back stories of certain mutants, ala Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver so that they are no longer mutants.

There are smart people at Marvel/Disney and Fox, you would think there would be someway that they two could work out someway to split the baby so that both sides are happy. [end rant]
