I had heard this a whisper of this recently, though with nothing solid to back it up.

To be honest, if it is happening, it was almost certainly going to be the two of them first. Jacqueline King has done a bunch of stuff for them so no doubt she'll be back and hopefully Bernard Cribbins is up for some more as well.http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Jacqueline_King

Didn't like Rose either.

Tate's an abrasive, unfunny, unwatchable disaster, in Who or anything else. She's a guaranteed switch off. I can't stand her.

I'd even prefer Mickey or Danny Pink as a companion...

Me I can't wait for more of the only adult companion the series has given us since it come back. The only one with no agenda beyond traveling with her friend and the only one who doesn't evangelise to the Universe about what an amazing being the Doctor is at every opportunity.

Donna is great! Really, does EVERY companion have to have love pangs for the Doc? They even retconned "lost love" from SJS (who was never remotely attracted to Pertwee or Baker before)
And I'm biased. I dated a girl who reminds me so much of Donna and she was great, too.
I hope Tate and Tennant can recapture their great comedic chemistry.

I could make the argument that Amy and Rory (especially post-"Big Bang") fit those parameters, too, but they lack the simple joy of Donna seeing the universe with her best friend.

They work really well together, and I'd like to see them work together more.

I have to admit, I've been working on a screenplay where the four main roles are written with these actors in mind: Tennant, Tate, Matt Smith, and Sir John Hurt. (Tennant and Tate are married, Smith is Tennant's younger brother, Hurt is the Alzheimer's afflicted father of Tennant and Smith.)

If true, it will be interesting to see what they come up with for the inevitable multi-Doctor specials to cross the 10th with his pre-Time War selves. If he is with Donna that he is still likely before "Day of the Doctor" so he would still not have helped 11 change his mind, even though all of him were involved.

A return of a 5th Doctor-10th Doctor mission? Or see 10's reaction to the 4th, 6th, 7th, or 8th Doctors. Or even the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Doctors since they sometimes show up with voice impersonations.

Or Donna's reaction to meeting another Doctor.

The poison scene from The Unicorn and the Wasp is probably (for me, at least) the funniest scene in all of Doctor Who.

God no, it annoys me too.

I'd probably have little or no problem with Donna the character if she had been played by someone else. I was dissappointed when she was cast - the Catherine Tate show with sweary Nan and 'How very dare you !' was something I'd tried and loathed. I gave her a chance though, and admittedly found her a bit less grating in Who, but still by a long way the worst of the modern companions.

I just don't like Tate. It's got nothing to do with Donna.

Donna was excellent and was great with Ten.

I don't know if you've ever seen, read or heard anything and thought 'Wow, that's awful' and looked around you and everyone else is loving it (maybe Justin Bieber) ? So many people seem to like her I that have to accept that it's me that is out of step.

Doesn't she grate on you ?
