When was the last time millions of people from one region were dispersed globally?

Not particually, Germany is allowing an unpresidented number of Refugees into the Country which is brilliant and Juncker has said that all European nations need to do there bit, again, brilliant.
Myself and the wife will be going through our clothes tomorrow to see if any can be used to help and donated, we're also going on a march/walk to show solidarity against the closed mindedness of some leaders on Saturday.
Can you let me know where you are sending clothes?
Cheers
Calaid have a branch in Bath (sorry about the Facebook link, they don't seem to have a dedicated website), not sure if you know the city, but where they are is by the Morrisons on London Road and it turns out they're really only after mens clothes, boots and camping gear right now.
Will you be attending the walk/march on Saturday in Bristol?

Obama is now saying the US will be bringing in 10,000 Syrians "at least" in 2016, while Kerry is saying he'd like to see it go as high as 100,000. I hope America welcomes quite a number of them and we do our share of helping.
Saudi Arabia finally has offered to help...
... by building 200 mosques in Germany!

I swear, the older I get, the more conservative I become.
So...is there going to be some way of checking the health of these refugees--though many are not actual refugees of war, but taking advantage of the opportunity to leave a place of relative safety to move to Europe. Last thing Europe needs is an epidemic from people who refused vaccinations on "religious grounds."

I don't want France to not be France, nor Germany not be Germany. Even with Germany's history, there's sufficient positive culture that I want retained. Ironic, though, that Germany killed so many very-German/European Jews and is now allowing in so many Arabs. Guess they blew it big time. Had they not gone after the Jews, there'd be no Israel, no excuse for problems in the Middle East but those between Arabs.

If Henry IV had had his way, France could have been England. Germany has quite a bit of history, millennia of it, what is so bad about its past compared to anyone else in Europe? Britain, France, and Russia had a pretty formidable history of mucking things up in the Middle East long before modern Israel was founded, and many powers before them did a fine job of making lives miserable in that causeway between continents.So...is there going to be some way of checking the health of these refugees--though many are not actual refugees of war, but taking advantage of the opportunity to leave a place of relative safety to move to Europe. Haven't been to Germany but I assume they're still eating fat sausages and spanking each other while an oompah band plays in the background.
Actually, I am a vegetarian, never was into spanking and prefer rock music.![]()
Familiar territory. It seems our fabled tendency to take jokes seriously is still doing well, at least.![]()
I mean, seriously, who in Syria would want to leave all of this?

If only people had the common courtesy to stay put while war is going on all around them.![]()
If they cared about their countries, they'd stay there and do something about it. Instead, they export they're troubles to decent, peace-loving folk. Now, what are you gonna' do about it, just sit there and take it? Of course not... Get some orange Pintos and send them back.I mean, seriously, who in Syria would want to leave all of this?

They need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, you know. Surely they can handle a little utter destruction of their homes and way of life. I mean, yesterday I got cut off in traffic and I didn't try to escape to Canada.
They seem kind of dirty, too. I mean, yeah, bombed homes and such, but do they have to bring over all of that dirt, and disease?
