im talking about the reboot of star trek, but yes people who hate reboot the show have issues as well

Everyone has different tastes and people are perfectly free to dislike the reboot, but isn't it really how they express their dislike that's the issue. Starting a thread saying you hate it without giving reasons isn't great, far better to say what you dislike about it.

If you really want to see "bullies" then check out some of the threads concerning the movie The Final Frontier. They make the worst things written about the Abrams movies seem like a love fest in comparison.

Seriously Entity, what make no sense to me are fans who think that the Abrams movies are being given special grief in the tiniest little way. All the movies have their detractors, without exception.

I personally like Insurrection, while there are problems in execution, I like that there is ambiguity in who the "bad guys' are supposed to be by the time you get to the end of the movie, and the viewers get to decide for themselves who they agree with. Things aren't clear cut.

But there are Trek fans who rate this movie at the bottom of their personal favorite list.

Both the Abrams movies are at the bottom of my list, with Darkness in last place. In my appraisal the positives (and I do see some) are far outweighed by the negatives.

You obviously feel different.

Who cares? Not everyone shares the same opinion, that's the point of discussion forums like this, so we can all share our points of view, regardless if we love only Prime Trek, hate the Abramsverse, or are ambivalent towards Enterprise.

Just to offer some advice, it would be good to add a few words of elaboration so folks like Ethros and I know what the heck you're talking about. It's like I walk into a room of 1000 people at a Star Trek convention and scream, "I hate what you did!" But unfortunately, no one knows who I am talking to or what was done and people start wondering if I escaped from an institution and start looking to see if I have a weapon. This isn't even the Trek XI+ section - you know, the relevant section to your complaint. It's the general section. And if it were the Trek XI+ section, this thread would have been locked immediately after the OP.

Personally, I don't like the term 'reboot' at all. I find it totally lacking in imagination, and I dislike how Hollywood co-copted a computer term which co-opted a boot-maker's term. I clicked on this thread looking only for that sort of commiseration. Sadly, I found little depth to the conversation.

Hollywood loves to recycle ideas, now sometimes they have to change them slightly to suit currant tastes. Now as we all have different tastes sometimes we will like this new take other times we won't.
