In the episode's video extra, John Wirth promises that this season will see the final confrontation between Bohannon and the Swede...to which I would respond, "Well, duh--I should hope so at this point!"
Christopher Heyerdahl seems to think that one contingency of the Swede's plan is that if Bohannon beats him, he'll be exposed as a murderer...but don't think that anyone would think of somebody who kills to save his wife and child as a murderer...or maybe the Swede is assuming that Bohannon wouldn't get there in time and Bohannon would go back into vendetta mode.

I've been picking away at Season 1 of Arrow on Netflix...imagine my surprise when I recognized who Yao Fei was under those whiskers...!
Hey guys, I asked about the whole Asian extra thing last year. The casting calls are up again, so I'm wondering if peoples could point me to episodes (or ideally scenes therein) which have "Asian workers" in them, so far this season? Just looking for what to expect in this show. Cheers!

^Um, every episode of this year, pretty much.
Thanks. I've dug up a couple of YouTube clips to get the gist of what's happening. Should be fun if I'm cast - scuttlebutt suggests they're looking for lots of Asian extras for the final block of shooting, hair length be damned. I'll have to find an episode or two now.

Every episode but #7...and the first 3 particularly concentrated on the Central Pacific side of things, establishing the setting and the new Chinese American characters. (It felt like the early episodes of a spinoff series.)

Legs have been broken, measurements have been taken. Thanks! We'll see what happens.
I've watched the first couple episodes of this season to get a feel of what they're doing (production-wise) to get a handle of what they'll be asking extras to do on their set. I'm a theatre guy, so my sets aren't usually more than thirty foot wide. This would be a different experience.

I answered a similar question about Ragnar Lothbrok in "Vikings", in which I caught some ire for not being in spoilers (despite the fact that his fate was hundreds of years known), so I shall learn from my mistakes when it comes to "spoiler alerts" and historical figures in modern fiction:

They're in '68 or '69 ATM...I raised a question upthread about the exact chronology, because they're implying that the progress of the railroad is still in '68, but Grant is president, which would mean it's already Spring of '69.
[bohannon]Yahp[/bohannon]...I just looked it up, and by the time Grant was inaugurated in March of '69, the Central Pacific was most of the way through Nevada, and the Union Pacific already had Ogden.
As far as the known progress of the railroads on the show goes, the UP is at least in June of '68 (Laramie), but not yet in '69 (at which point they'll be just inside Utah). The CP's progress seems to be somewhere between April and June of '68...after that, they'd be in Nevada.
Now the progress of the UP in the last couple of seasons was pretty accurate to when we were told it was. They made Cheyenne by Nov. '67 and Sherman's Summit by Apr. '68. But John Campbell was appointed Governor of the Wyoming Territory by President Grant in...1869.
So I'd say that they're fairly consistent as far as the progress of the railroads goes if it's supposed to be no later than mid-'68. It's Grant's status that doesn't mesh with that.
At least they're keeping things within a year or two of when they actually happened. If this show operated on the same principle as The Goldbergs, then the Civil War would still be raging when the plot called for it, and Bohannon might be drinkin' with Lincoln!

A little birdie tells me that we may be seeing Mark_Nguyen as an extra in episode 5x13. Said birdie wasn't able to share any details (not that I'd want to be spoiled for the penultimate episode of the series), save that he was part of some "pretty dramatic scenes."
More details hopefully to come next year when the episode airs!

The following is completely separate from my days of shooting on set (which I can't talk about), but I did see some additional location shooting this week in downtown Calgary (which I can talk about, as I had nothing to do with it)...
Anyway, I saw Anson Mount taking a smoke break outside the Palliser Hotel as I was driving by. There was a big greenscreen on the street too. The Palliser is a grand old hotel built as part of the Canadian Pacific Railway's hotel chain back in the very early 1900s, so it has the old-timey look that would fit in with the show. The greenscreen would likely have been placed outside the main entrance to fill in for a scene featuring people in the lobby looking out.
They must be really close to finishing filming on the show at this point, and I'm guessing from the hotel location that they're nowhere near the current towns the story was set in. Still, was cool to see this happening.

Hmmm...shooting in a turn-of-the-century area of an existing city...perhaps standing in for a story-relevant city of the era? San Francisco?
