I've never seen a female admiral in that kind of uniform. Last person I saw in that uniform was "Admiral Patrick"......

As we know, KMulgrew appeared in the last LV Star Trek Experience (The Borg one) video as Admiral Janeway and she was decked out in the new uniform, standing up no less.

There are pix around; only her voice was heard in the main vid but at the "site" there were separate video panels besides the main one and you could see KJ "in person" on them. (Not sure if that helps with the subject now though but thought would mention it.)

Was trying to find this in the Kindle store of Amazon UK to pre-order but no sign. They do have the paperback though?

Anyone else found it?

The only female Admiral I can think of was the Vulcan one that was present during Sisko's briefing on Operation Return in 'Favour the Bold'. However the Vulcan Admiral spent the the entire meeting sitting down, if i remember correctly.

It was available for preorder a few days ago, not now. It's just turned Aug 25th here in Auckland, so I was hoping I might be able to get it now. Alas it's "not currently available for purchase"

Interesting... I did have it on preorder at one point, but it's vanished. *sigh*

The next one, "Pocket Full of Lies", is still in my preorder list, though.

Ah - it's vanished from the UK site, but not the US site. Sadly ebook orders are geolocked, so we can't just up and order it from the US site... something to do with publishing rights, I think. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will come along to give us a better explanation. ;)

EDIT: Actually I can't now find the Amazon US page for Atonement... Amazon is doing weird things.

Got a call from my bookstore Sat morning - it arrived! Read it over the weekend - I'm still pretty excited about it. I think I'll do a re-read to pick up any details I missed but I was on the edge of my seat pretty much the entire time. I can't recommend it enough!

Am a bit annoyed tbh...had it preordered, and the next one is still showing as available to order....I noticed it had vanished a few days ago, but assumed it was a bug due to uploading a new cover or something....but nope. No sign. Is there a disagreement with amazon atm?

Have any UK kindle preorders been delivered? Do you pay for preorders when you order them or when they are shipped?

When they're shipped. My order hasn't downloaded, and the paperback page says releasing on 27th, so I'm waiting until Thursday before I search again.

EDIT to add:

Amazon have been deleting a lot of preorders recently... I know there was a dispute with Hachette(sp?) but wasn't aware of anything with Pocket/S&S.

All the other Star Trek books are still available for preorder and it's only been a few weeks since the last Seekers and New Frontier books which all came out on Kindle without a problem so hard to understand why an issue with just this book.
