Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

I'm SO happy for Mark Hamill that this is happening.

Everything I've heard about him is that he is the most decent and nice person.

I love that this major career renaissance is happening for him in his later years!

Not to mention all of the Sharpe tv movies.

The Sean Bean death thing is like the idiotic "rule of three" celebrity death thing.

I once saw some yokel on here claim its truth by citing Joan Rivers' death, along with some other star and a local Canadian weatherman as proof of this axiom.

There's not enough strength in my body for all of the head shaking that pearl of wisdom deserves.

I haven't seen Percy Jackson, Junipter Ascending, or the Sharpe TV movies and I didn't even know there was a "Sean Bean death thing".

Hopefully for the action figure and not to create his force ghost.

i feel like Hamill will be around till ep 9, or the end of ep 8

Kenobi was around for two more movies as well, if you remember.

But I think Hamils impact on the new generation will be a blend of Yoda and Ben. He's literally the only person left that can train future jedi. So I feel like his death will be a catalyst at either the end of the 8th ep, or the 9th ep; probably at the hands of Snoke. Ben showed up here and there, but he was very minor beyond ANH. I sincerely doubt Hamills role will be that small. I think this entire trilogy is a passing of the torch. And then 10-12 will be the new characters on their own.

That's just my thoughts on it though.

I agree with your sentiment, just noting the fact that Luke could still die in this movie without preventing Hamill from appearing in the sequels to come.

Something about that image and how clean and coiffed he looks just says "force ghost" to me.

Okay, after a lot of hunting and reading, I finally saw the image of Luke. It looks good. But why are there so many "removed at the request of Disney" things around? Seriously, Disney, who cares? It's a photo. It will get people excited. People are still going to see this movie in DROVES anyway, and it could create a new box office record.

Lighten up and let people see Luke. Jeez.

It's also up in my Star Wars folder. For me, anyways. :rommie:

Or it could be that Disney themselves leaked it to create buzz, then started sending takedown requests because 'muh secrecy'.

I was hoping he'd wear the traditional Jedi brown robes, not white... also that costume looks way too thick and stiff. How could he have a proper lightsaber duel in those clothes?

You fight like Vader. Straight forward and powerful.

Or you go the other route. Let your powers do the fighting, and don't lift the lightsaber unless you absolutely have to..then CGI rapid movements that will defy logic and physics.
