Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Discussion

I was hoping it'd be Person of Interest and Elementary. But CBS hates Person of Interest.

Person of Interest is about to enter its fifth season. No way would that have happened if the network "hated" it. A show that innovative, subversive, and unusual -- not to mention expensive, with its elaborate action and New York location filming -- would never have survived a single season if its network hadn't supported it fully.

One new episode, two weeks of reruns, one new episode.... CBS did the same thing to The Unit right before they canceled it.

POI is too good for CBS. The same repetitive procedural format that the first several episodes were heavy on is what CBS ordered to fit right in with the rest of their shows. The Good Wife and Person of Interest really stick out in their lineup, but they don't own POI so they're kicking it to the curb after next season's shortened order.

I want to laugh too, but it's so sad to see how far this show has fallen. Season 1 was so good.

I haven't watched Bones in a while, but I like the characters. If Angela and Jack pop in while driving off to a romantic weekend or something, it could be fun.

Who knew Betsy Ross was a babe!
John Ross, Joseph Ashburn, and John Claypoole. :mallory:

Those two are mostly the reason my wife and I still watch the show. We've never like Brennan at all. But we've always liked Boreanas since the Buffy days, and Anjie and Jack are an absolute delight to watch together.

^^ Nah, it'll be fine.

I love Michaela Conlin. I wish she would do more. She should be Betsy Ross. :rommie:

I was going to say the plot would be there's a murder on the set of Sleepy Hollow and the Bones team is brought in to investigate, but that wouldn't work if it's a crossover on both shows.

Sure it does, Boone and Brennan get cast as extras in their attempt to catch the killer.

Interesting thought. On Bones, it could be a murder on the set of Sleepy Hollow; on Sleepy Hollow, it could be Bones coming to shoot on location in Sleepy Hollow. A pseudo-crossover where each is fictional to the other.

It wouldn't work if it's a full-blown crossover storyline that starts on one show and ends on the other. That's what I meant.

could be interesting just to see Brennan explain something and Crane go, 'No, it was magic.' still, it just seems like such a bizarre idea.

Says who?

I can think of a number of workable crossover storyline scenarios without even trying.

I believe Aragorn was responding to the specific suggestion of the two shows treating each other as fictional. Then you couldn't do a single 2-part story, is the point. There are other scenarios that could allow a single 2-part story, but that one would have to be two unrelated and incompatible stories.

Unless... Maybe Sleepy Hollow could do the sort of thing that's been done in shows like UFO, The Twilight Zone, and Eerie, Indiana, where the characters are sent into an alternate world in which they're just actors on a TV show, and they have to get back to the reality where they're real.

It'd be awesome if they startrd the crossover with the whole "visiting the set" thing on Bones where they get cast minor roles in order to catch the murder. Then on Sleepy Hollow play it straight with them acting their "parts" up until a scene where the murder somehow reveals himself while in character. They then break the fourth wall, stopping the story in Sleepy Hollow, murder is captured, arrests made - yadda yadda. Break to a commercial and when it returns the Sleepy Hollow story continues as if nothing had happened.

They'd never do it though.

Even with Hodgins having previously said he watches Sleepy Hollow, that still doesn't, in my mind, preclude the two shows doing a crossover storyline that starts on one show and ends on the other, because you could write SH as being a 'reality show' in the BONES world (think Ghost Adventures, The Dead Files, etc.).

We'll see what they do, though.
