I just went to the new STO forums... my god, its terrible. I really dislike the monochromatic layout and the lack of a dev-tracker.

Been exploring the new fleet research outpost on tribble, here are a few screenshots of the new base.

Obviously this is still work in progress, as there is a corridor that just leads into space, and your away team beams in with you.

Looks nice.

Someone on my Romulan forum posted shots of "amenities", and I found most interesting the possibility of buying additional trait slots one for each trait. Pricy, but great to have.

Been using the Pathfinder as of late and have been enjoying it, I love throwing space magic and she is pretty! Question, anyone know where I can get a purple quality officer that comes with gravity well 3?

Why did you pick the Pathfinder over Dauntless or other Science variants?

Why not? I like the design. You think the other choices would have been better? I wanted a pure sci ship... I may make another purchase in a couple months... Why the Dauntless?

This is trait slots you buy :)

Also this is from reddit, more on the equipment you can purchase at the new holding

LeadHead approves :bolian:

Though it makes me wonder how many they let you buy on a character.

I like the idea of this new fleet holding, as well as the new T6 battlecruiser.

Didn't miss the game that much over the past week, as I was away. Gonna look at the game later.

I was curious why you selected that ship. I am likely to buy it in the near future.

Cool, I suggest the purchase. I also like the Pathfinder turn rate. I load a beam canon and a couple torpedoes up front with torp spread 2. That with grav well, tyken's rift and a tractor beam, bad guys die fast! The aero shuttle is pretty handy as well.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, my bridge crew has none of those buffs, but the aero shuttle will be useful if it has tractor beam

Bought the Pathfinder and transfered the weapons and consoles over from the Vesta. I am doing worse in combat, I believe, because i do not hsve runabouts to tractor and distract the enemy ships.

Hier is probably the biggest news about Season 10.5:

The new Armada system.

Fleets will have the opportunity to ally themselves with other fleets into Armadas with different benefits for smaller and bigger fleets determined by an Armada hierachy.

For TrekBBS that means, we should look into finding a few fleets to ally with.
If anyone has an alt in one of the bigger fleets out there maybe try to lobby for the Armada. With provisioning projects we can provide ample opportunity to convert stuff into fleet credits which big fleets desperately needs (even we are beginnin gto feel that in some areas).
Then we should maybe get an upstarting small/middle fleet that is on a good way to maybe T3 or so , so we can help them out with fleet marks to get our own fleet credits and maybe a beginning fleet, too.
Smaller fleets get a bigger bonus for dilithium while bigger fleets get XP boni for the starbase and holdings.
It sounds all pretty good.

Hoping for some direction on something. I'm trying to load up on Ancient Power Cells, trying to get the Delta Alliance Equipment for my new alt, having a real rough time. Borg Disconnected never makes it past the first stage because everyone goes to one area, not getting enough Borg liberated. Advanced Bug hunt turns into a sickbaypalooza almost every time combined with getting the spawnmother to .0000001% health then jumping to full, I read something about the Battle of Korfez, but can't find how to access that. (Does it not unlock until level 60 maybe?)

Any suggestions? Good loadouts for the PvE's? I'm doing the found missions on Kobali Prime, but they're only once per day.

Yeah, Battle of Korfez unlocks at level 60. of the Delta Quadrant STFs it is the hardest though. surprised that you fail Bug Hunt. You mast have really bad luck with your teams. I almost never fail it even on Advanced or Elite despite PUGS.
Borg Disconnected is a mixed bag.
What you should do is get a few abilities and traits that give you immunity for a few seconds. it lets you free Borg despite taking fire.
Don't kill all the probes in the beginning. usually that prevents harder Borg mobs to spawn for a while. keep 2-3 alive depending on how well you can tank them.
During phase 2 you can stop firing at all, just close the rifts and free Borg ships, while the hostile borg fight the Undine.
At stage 3, basically do the same but make sure to kill the Borg killer frigates and ram their torpedos, only way to destroy those.

if you have a team where all 4 go to the same spot and don't react to chat instructions, you are probably screwed, but if they spread out and get in a fight with the borg, ake it on you to fee as many ships as possible, Don't fight at all. Pick the 2 areas with only one or none of your team mates.
If you end up soloing an area just do what i wrote above, if you have 2 areas with one team mate each float between them just freeing ships.
if you want you can concentrate on 2 areas in the first phase, with 5 players in 2 places you will reach the 15 ship limit easily.
In phase 2 you can go to the remaining area and solo that without firing a shot.
That area still has the initial friendly probe waiting to be rescued.
20 seconds after it warps out you get another 2, then 3 probes.
Then a sphere, then 2 spheres. At this point you have saved 9 ships by yourself during phase two!
The others should be able to manage 3 at each area hopefully.

during phase 3 it will be a lot closer, and you just have to hope your mates dont get overwhelmed.

If all else failes, go to Kobali prime and do the final 2 area dailies near the Vaadwaur ship. That will get you marks and ancient power cells, too.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into the traits and abilities for the immunity to get the Borg unlocked.

Yeah, it's not a popular queue, Usually I have to wait a good 10-20 to get the notification to start. The last two teams I had were all Tactical Captains so our healing was zip.

How do you keep the spawnmother from getting that health regen, is there a specific bug or bugs you gotta target? I've only played the mission about 5-6 times, only been successful once.

Thanks again for the info :bolian:
