Crisis At The Edge of Physics

Not from the outer fringe of what we know but from the center of what we don't know.
Well, you said this, not me. What *I* said was "the outer fringe of what we think we might know" which was a polite way of saying the edge of "science" where the hypotheses are less solid science and more speculation. And in your case, mostly wild speculation.

But what you just said parses to anyone other than you as "I'm talking out of my butthole". Which means, as others have pointed out to you before, you're in the wrong subforum of the board. Flight-of-fancy discussions go in Misc or TNZ, speculative fiction goes in Fan Fiction.

What you're looking at is NOT science or technology. It's poppycock. Stop looking at crap like Timecube and pick up a Popular Science - that'll get you a lot closer to what you want for this subforum.

Not from the outer fringe of what we know but from the center of what we don't know.

Maybe the model of how the Universe existed could be modeled after the center of black hole where the entire center of the black works in opposite of how a normal black hole would. That would build some interesting mathematical models based on Einsteins theories.

".theories Einsteins on based models mathematical interesting some build would That. would hole black normal a how of opposite in works black the of center entire the where hole black of center the after modeled be could existed Universe the how of model the Maybe."

I wanted to see if it made any more sense this way. No luck; it's still just word salad.

Mmmm... now I'm hungry. Anyone got any vinaigrette?

HIjol, I respect what you're trying to do, but I just don't think he's interested.

Thank you, Silvercrest. I believe you are correct.

Funny, but...just for a second there, your Reverse Re-post seemed to make...no, I must be mistak - but, still...

If you saw what I saw, then no, you're correct - a white hole appeared very briefly and manifested a spicy vinaigrette into existence, while the words "I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my life-style" floated out into the room.

Silvercrest has successfully and improbably built on the work of Dryson to create Zatanna Physics, as well as a vracuum that doesn't lose sruction.

(If a Vacuum loses suction in a vacuum with no gravity, then...oh, crap, Charles Nelson Reilly had this one on Match Game!...um...)

Unreal! It's like we were in the same cruntinuum! That is exractly what I saw. 'Cept it was a Light Ranch. No matter, Zatanna Physics! Very Exciting! Built on the Zatanna Powers of Air, Earth, Water and Fire. Plus, Gravitylessness! Heavy!...no, wait...can't be...

...we're gonna need some new idioms.

And, probably, a new Thread.

Well, when you've eliminated the impossible, then whatever remains, however infinitely improbable, must be true.

Did I just succeed in fusing A. Doyle with D. Adams?

And is it a coincidence that their initials are also reversed? Or is that another instance of Zatanna Physics at work? This bears investigation ... just as long as fishnet stockings are involved somewhere.

Congratulations for recognizing this important breakthrough, USS Triumphant and HIjol. My (top) hat is off to both of you. Having discovered a new discipline which will surely inspire generations of future physicists, I officially declare that the Crisis at the Edge of Physics is resolved.

I have had subscriptions to Popular Science they are very interesting articles. But I the word Popular is just that. Popularity where if someone reads the article and then discusses a sense of being popular while remaining in a ring of image safety is maintained for the sake of popular and known mathematicsl modes. People are often reluctant to discuss anything not written by someone else because they fear ridicule. If early scientists who were often times hunted down
as witches and heretics had not had fabulous speculations then we would still be in the Middle Ages.

It's so rare for one of these things to get closure, instead of, y'know, just closed.

Indeed, but I think that creaking sound is the door...

Careful, my mouse finger is twitching.

See!...wait, I know the Traffic Finger, but which one is the Mouse Finger?

What happened to the rest of the mouse? And why do you keep it's finger?

Ratatouille?

Who's The Men?...WE da Men!!!

Triumphant and HIjol, fighting for Zatanna Physics, where and whenever it may be!

hmmm..why is it that I feel like fixing my motorcycle right now, and I do not even own one?

Oh, right...right...that was Castaneda.

No, science is not a popularity contest. Gibberish earns ridicule when it's gibberish offered up as serious scientific work.

Dark Matter could be the medium that existed before the Big Bang.

We know its there but have a rather rudimentary mathematical mode of proving its existence.

If we know it exists how can we determine it that does in fact exist using Einstein formulas?
Back to the same rote gibberish about 'before the big bang' and your misinformed, malformed thoughts on Einstein's work. Before the big bang is irrelevant to understanding our universe.

Honestly, texts on alchemy, astrology, and the tarot do a better job of comprehending reality than the maundering speculations you put up for response.

Dwight, that is totally backwards to how science works. Assuming something is true and then hunting up evidence to support it is a perfect method ... for missing the facts.

People will do anything to prove what they "know" to be true ... or what they want to be true. And to those people, the actual truth doesn't matter.

If you want to be honest, you make your observations. You run your tests. You crunch the numbers. And then you see what conclusion is supported by the results.

If there are observations, tests, and numbers that support the existence of dark matter, great. If those things don't exist yet, then you cannot force it.
