Eurovision Song Contest 2015

It was only mildly awful until it started getting into proper Euro-Dance-Awfulness about 2 minutes in.

Estonia was kinda nice, and Georgia gets my Goth vote.

ETA: Finland is out, Belgium is in???

So glad that Finland is out. Havent been this happy that Finnish entry failed since Nina Åström in year 2000..

PKN would have never won finnish finals without their disabilities. There were so many more musically better acts that should have qualified to represent Finland.

If it had been good quality song by disabled band, sure, why not. But they had no place being there just because everyone felt sorry for them and wanted to show how tolerant they are.

Good that Estonia and Georgia qualified.

One of our worst ever. If it was a little better it would be pathetic.

I'm excited already !

As it should be. The last thing we need is to take this "cheese coated mediocrity in a sequinned dress" seriously. The fun lies in the tasteless tackiness of it all. Hopefully, there will be plenty of boobs and bad acting to enjoy

Unfortunatly I think some of the countries missed that memo

Serbia was all sorts of awful...
Didn't watch, but lemme guess... It was a trashy pop song, sang by a tone-deaf brunette / fake blond with the looks of a second-tier weteran pornstar and the voice of a broken dishwasher...

Actually not :D

I actually thought that it was ok song, but nothing special.

Just listened to Serbian song on YouTube. It was almost decent.

Your typical Serbian pop hit, however, would be something more like this:

Gotta love the Serbian Pitbull, though.

I've never seen this and have only heard about it because Guy Sebastian is singing in it this year.

Is this like American Idol?

It's weird because Guy Sebastian has already won Australian Idol and now he's doing the European one.

I must say I enjoyed the first semi-final for the most part:)
Russia was very strong with good vocals, Serbia had the most fun and energetic show and Albania is still good song, even it the singing did not go perfectly.

So all my favorite songs made it to the final and I was happy about the other ones also. Everybody did their best for sure and performances went well in overall.

Finland's punk did not work this time for the masses, not that its fall from the finale came much as an surprise( did cheer it to the bitter end though). Still they did their best and certainly were the most well known punk band in Europe, at least for the duration of the contest. Wishing them all the best in the future.

The hosts on the stage were bit uninteresting and the jokes more wooden than last year( so far). They should let Conchita do the main hosting, instead of just the Green Room, (s)hes much more engaging and real.

The second semi-final will start in less than an hour( when I am writing this that is). This one is bit more even than the first one and somewhat of better quality. Will be interesting to see who will go to the finals this time...

Wow, Norway... just wow... really?

Montenegro was good old Balkan-Pop. I hated it but it totally belongs in the final. :D

Sweden definately had the best stage tech. Very well made effects.

Otherwise very generic songs.. Nothing really stands out. Iceland tried the "young girl with bare feet sings cute song" routine, but failed. Emmelie de Forest did it much better couple of years ago.

And lots of duets this year. Estonia's might be best. Might our southern neighbor win the second time?
I see that Sweden is favorite to win, but I dont know if its really that good/different.

And apparently Russia is second favorite, but I dont see them winning at this political climate. Even with Eurovisions anti-booing machines in full power.

I was really disappointed that Czech did not go to the final, those two sang so well and had great chemistry on stage. (It was certainly better than the bad Lithuania, boring Cyprus and beautiful but vocally somewhat flat Poland) Other finalists were fine, though very easy to guess.
Malta surprised me positively also with their performance, Amber did very well and I liked the song much better live than from the music video.
I did like Iceland as a song but I think the young singer was just too nervous to get her vocal performance in check, did improve little towards the end though. They should have had the dancers from the video on the stage also.

Maybe I enjoyed the first semi somehow more In overall, though this one was good also. Maybe because my favorites did better there and some of the songs were more interesting to listen.

Looking forward to the Final much:cool::)

Yeah, pity about Czech entry because they were Finland's last hope for some finnish connection in the final.. That female singer sung 10 years ago with finnish metal band :D

I thought the results of the second semi were pretty predictable. I was just surprised not to see Portugal progress to the final. Her outfit was fun and that's what the whole contest is about, right?!

How the hell did people vote for a song as creepy as Norway's? I mean, seriously? A song about how you struggle with relationships as an adult if you've murdered another kid when you were a kid yourself?
Who comes up with such a concept? What the shit?

I hate Scandinavian pop because it's so generic but Sweden's entry was kinda fun for a change. I'm always hoping for Sweden to lose, though because they take the whole contest so seriously.

Israel was hilarious. I mean...

I’m a golden boy, come here to enjoy
I’m the king of fun, let me show you how we do it
I’m a golden boy, come here to enjoy
And before I leave, let me show you Tel Aviv

Really? :D

Latvia was bizarre! I liked it! :p

Oh, and I giggled when they interviewed a few of the "Big 5" and Arabella asked Germany's Ann-Sophie how she is (in German) which totally confused Ann-Sophie into saying: "IN DEUTSCH????".
