Season Six - What Gives?

Is it just me? I am currently watching Voyager's season 6, and I cannot seem to get through the episodes. They seem to lack something - originality, freshness of plot, the protagonists are repeatedly 7, the Doctor or Janeway, some of the stories appear to be lifted from other shows or movies...
I don't know.

Feedback would be appreciated.

My opinion about season 6 =

I think seasons five and six are the high point of the series. Lack of originality, sure, but all of the seasons are unoriginal. Which episodes didn't you like?

It started to lose steam. I almost stopped watching during season 6 but season 7 is better so try and stick with it.

I felt that way because I had expectations. Now for nostalgic reasons I can watch it.

Good episodes from season 6:

Tinker, Tenor, Doctor, Spy
Pathfinder
Blink of an Eye
Memorial
Child's Play

All of these episodes I'd rank in the top 20 Voyager episodes. It's got weak episodes too but so does every Voyager season.

I thought there were a few good episodes in 6
with Voyager Conspiracy - at the top of the list Good Shepherd,
Unimatrix , and the brilliant Equinox


I think part of the problem with the shows star Mulgrew and the producers was starting to loose their enthusiasm and passion for the show. I recall round about the same period , Brannon( The shows writer and the guy Ryan shacked up with because Mulgrew was being the big bad wolf to her) had left or was leaving the show to work on Enterprise.Mulgrew wanted to stay home and bake cakes for her husband at the time. So they left it to Ryan to f!ck up whats left of the show with her be this Xena type heroin instead of some bim in a catsuit.The episode " Life line" was another which indicated Voyager had come to an end

Not to mention "the episode that should never have been made" which is the reason that I never watched season 7, except for "Endgame".

Season 6 was the greatest season of Star Trek ever made.

Season 6 was the season when those in charge finally took off their masks and showed that they didn't give a s**t about the series or the fans.

The "producers" had lost interest and were planning ahead for their new pet project "Enterprise", a retro series where they managed to screw upp established Star Trek history. They didn't care about Voyager anymore, most of the episode were lame, like "Spirit Folk" and "Fair Haven", I mean even that one with Flotter was better because it had at least some excitement with a shuttle accident. The only good episode I remember right now is the second part of "Equinox".

Then near the end of the season came "the episode which should never have been made" when those in charge deliberately spat in the faces of a group of fans.

Fair Haven was hilarious. Janeway programs her own man. Perfection.

People disliking S6 blows my mind.

"Equinox" (II), "TTDS", Dwayne The Fucking Rock Johnson, I mean, holy cow. And yes, "Fair Haven" was hi-larious.

You know Lynx maybe you should try not wiping out an entire season because of "the abomination", but just doing what VOY does and acting like the abomination never happened as soon as it is over.

I mean I think TATV is the biggest, shiniest, corn filled turd in the history of Star Trek but I love season 4 ENT with all my heart.

The writers did seem to be in trouble with original material in the last two seasons but Season Six still has its high marks over the other seasons.
These are the episodes that are really worth while.
This is going to be easy.
Voyager finally rips apart the Federation ship Equinox leaving most of the crew dead but the survivors are interogated and given a fresh start.

An unusual alien ship is acquired from a scrap-yard and its only propietor is a robot hidden inside its' computer that will do anything to put Voyager in danger.

A singularity converges on Voyagers' flight path containing a lifeless ship with one inhabitant that was injested near the beginnings of earths' space exploration.

A man building a catapult and Voyager make a deal for its' use.
____
Voyager is talking to star fleet VIA direct link through a pulsar.
____
The holodeck fights for its own life and existence because of a pre- industrialized town in Ireland.
____
Tachyons are empowering a planet with an accelerated time frame that Voyager must serve and play host to.
____
Voyager comes into grips with a tower on a planet emitting a sleep wave.
____
You will never forget Tsunkatse where you will see Seven kidnapped and forced into the arena with 'The Rock' .

Voyager disables a full size Borg Cube where they discover it is inhabited by 5 neo-natal drones(children) and every-one else dead.
____
A crew member who is actually dead and buried in space is re-animated and brought into quarters with Janeway, the officers and crew.
____
Voyager almost falls victim to a company of thieves who are using Voyagers name to steal metals froma mining consortium.
____
Voyager's doctor is sent as a data stream above Jupiter to Jupiter-4 station where his maker Dr. zimmerman awaits treatment.

Seven returns to her long lost lover in Unimatrix 0, a dream world for unresponsive drones .
