It's baaaccckkk...

I don't get why everyone says "Olsen Twins" as if they need both of them. There's only one Michelle. And, as someone noted above, Elizabeth looks enough like them that she could just as easily pass for adult Michelle.

Because they were both Michelle on the original show. I realize that was because of child labor laws, but I can't believe that if they did try to get Michelle into the show they wouldn't extend an offer to both of the twins, since they were both the originators of the role.

Btw, I'm enjoying GMW. Didn't think I would but I am.

Overall i do too, though i wouldn't mind if they dialed the hammieness down a bit...

Yeah but wasn't BMW quite hammy as well? I pretty much love everyone except Riley, Lucas, and Auggie. It was awesome seeing Shawn again. Eric HAS to make an appearance!

Not this hammy...
Corey's parent's and Mr. Feeny were regular adult hammy...
And i think i read that Eric will appear in 2 episodes this season and maybe more in the 2nd season...

This seems like the best place to put the semi-reunion of Full House from Jimmy Fallon from just before he left Late Night:

The first season is already over. The second season starts in less than a month with a nightly episode for a week featuring Eric in at least one and Mister Feeny (who isn't dead) back at home.

I liked Full House when I was growing up, but when I was growing up I was the right age to like Full House.

Boy Meets World started out a little more grounded and got more and more hammy as it went on. They got into this pattern where the entire show was about Corey and Topanga getting together, and breaking up, and getting together, and breaking up, and getting together. And the first time they dated, Corey literally decided to ask her out for the first time because he decided to look at the floor, look up, and ask out the first girl he saw. The show stopped being about a boy meeting a world and became all about a boy's unnatural fixation on a idealized-for-males female.

I don't know that it's really so much more hammy than the original so much as it's covered in that saccharine Disney, preteen gloss. I couldn't stomach more than a couple of episodes.

I'll probably tune-in for the Daniels episode. He looks great for a guy pushing 90.

Eric AND Feeny!?!?! I think I might die from happiness! Feeny FE-HE-HE-EEENY!!

Mr. Matthews?

Mr. Squirrels.

Eric?

Plays With.

I married a moose. We don't need counselling.

A few weeks ago when we had so many stories of old shows coming back for new seasons, somebody joked what was next, "Full House"?

Well, guess?

"Fuller House".

Many of the original cast are returning for 13 episodes ordered by Netflix for a sequel series.

Wait a minute, isn't this one of the signs of the apocalypse?

Uncle Jesse brings on Death and Pestilence?

Many of the original cast are returning, some only in guest spots, but the Olsenh twins reportedly are not returning because of their clothing line. You know? The ones nobody you know wears.

To be fair, I don't spend a lot of time asking teenaged girls about their clothes but YMMV.

I would hope so. I mentioned to a friend on Facebook that I wish the set up had been Stephanie and Michelle helping D.J. raise her kids, in lieu of Kimmy.

But I'll settle for a recurring role or at least a few guest appearances by Michelle instead.

I guess the current set up fits with the old show's premise. Uncle Jesse wasn't a sibling of Danny's, but he was his brother in law. And Uncle Joey was just a family friend, like Kimmy.

Just like Mr. Adventure, I wasn't really looking for this but found it nonetheless:

Lori Loughlin hopeful that 'Full House' cast will reunite for reunion show

In that article linked, this is mentioned:

But she did say that producers are hoping to reunite the original cast in a reunion special to kick off the series entitled “Fuller House,” which will star Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.

A reunion special would more than make up (for me at least) for the fact that "Fuller House" will just be about a portion of the original 'Full House' cast.

It's kind of touching that the twins want to discuss it with Bob Saget first.

It's funny, I never would've watched the show myself but my little sister did. Because of her I have nostalgia for Full House, Who's the Boss and Saved by the Bell that I'd never have otherwise. :)

If they're basing their decision on whether Bob Saget is OK with it or not, I'd say it's a safe bet we'll see Michelle again.

I don't believe Saget has confirmed anywhere that he'd be back, but I can't see why he wouldn't do it, unless he hates John Stamos or something :p

Well, I'm sure fans of "Cheers" were saying something similar about "Frasier" when it was coming. Thank goodness people gave it a chance. OMG, a show about later addition cast member and only him? No Carla? No Norm? WTF?

I would argue that their is a distinction between a spin-off that focuses on one character from a previous show, and a sequel series that continues the story line of a portion of the cast, such as 'Girl Meets World' would be a sequel series and not a spin-off, because it's about Cory and his family.

Regardless, this is a different case. Frasier premiered the following year. There'd be no point to get the whole cast of Cheers back together again since they already said goodbye the year before. In 'Full House's' case it's been 20 years since the show ended.

I don't disagree about Frasier's quality though. It's very rare for a spin-off to be just as good (and yes, I felt it was just as good) as it's parent show.

I think at the end of the day, differences in opinions aside, we just hope it doesn't suck. That's what I hope for here.

I would point out though that one year versus twenty isn't what it used to be in Hollywood. Now an actor can quickly move to something else as a regular secondary or main character and not allow for him or her to be in a spin-off (unless signed in advance).

Ahhh, "Frasier". How many shows can avoid not showing the wife of a charater for eleven seasons with only one shadow (as Martin put it, a moving coatack) and make it buyable and even funny. Hey -- there's an idea! Entire seasons of "Fuller House" without the Michelle; we never see, only reference her or just miss her, etc. ;-)

Oh man, if only it could have worked that way with Wesley.
