I'll reserve my excitement until I see something to get excited over. But a TV remake/version of a 16-year-old movie? Can't say it inspires a lot of enthusiasm in me.

One of the things I liked most abou GQ was the casting of Sigourney Weaver. Ripley as the actress annoyed about having years of shitty dialogue and low cut costumes was freaking hilarious...

It's nice that they could play with all the tropes and clichés very common in SciFi, like the countdown stopping at 0:01, and senseless obstacles like the Chompers "This makes no logical sense!"

That would be the obvious problem. But hey, five or six episodes of something that doesn't bore my ass to tears is worth four seasons of Stargate: Beyond Infinity.
