If there ever was a Star Trek photo that needs a caption, it's this production shot from TMP. Can't wait to see the replies!

I said a hip hop,
Hippie to the hippie,
The hip, hip a hop, Y
You don't stop, rockin'
To the bang bang boogie, say,
Up jump the boogie,
To the rhythm of the boogie, the beat.
Now, what you hear is not a test,
I'm rappin' to the beat,
And me, the groove, and my friends
Are gonna try to move your feet...

Though if the books are correct, she's pretty hot for a Admiral.

This is where I don't trust the books. Reading between the lines in the movie itself, I think this character was intended to be the ship's navigator. (Point 1: why would a flag officer be assigned to that position? The later movies had at least three Captains aboard, and that was stretching it. But two Admirals in the crew, only one of whom is in a command role?)

When the original navigator got killed by the transporter, Ilia came on board as a last-minute replacement (Point 2: this explains Decker's surprise when Uhura announced her arrival. Otherwise, you'd think the intended captain of the ship would have known that his ex-girlfriend was assigned to his crew in a leadership position.)

For some reason, Sonak there reminded me of Fred Schneider of the B-52s. So naturally to me it looks like they're dancing to Rock Lobster.

The film was made on an EXTREMELY tight schedule. The pressure was so great that occasionally actors would succumb. Many of the actors said they could actually FEEL the pressure.

Or maybe your a crewman
But you're stayin' alive
Stayin' alive

Stayin' alive

Ah, ah, ah, ah
Stayin' alive
