X-Men: Apocalypse announced for May 2016

Was Jubilee actually mentioned by name in the other movies? If not, we can easily just pretend it was somebody else.

Eh, I really think they're going to go handwavy and pretend that the timeline split changes everything going forward, even the ages of characters who should logically have already been born.
One of the screenwriters already said as much.

"Lana Condor" is actually a much better superhero name than "Jubilee".

I hope they don't hand wave it or rather, I hope that if Logan is in the movie, he passes comment about the discrepancy, and that it marked as an oddity.

Yeah, I seem to recall the name at least once (maybe X2).

Yes, Storm called to her by name in X2, when she and Nightcrawler find the captive children beneath Alkalai Lake (Although, the subtitles on the DVD erroneously refer to her as "Julie".)

There was also a deleted scene with Jubilee that gave a hint of her powers...

Not sure how many more movies Hugh Jackman has in him as Wolverine. :p

Well, if it were up to him, he'd play Wolverine forever. He loves the character.

I rather think the 'The Wolverine' sequel will be his last solo outing. AoA may be his last full X movie, but there will probably be another after the solo movie.

After that I doubt he'll retire, but I think it'll be more or less cameo's in X movies, or at least parts that don't involve lots of training and getting 'cut'. He'll be over 50 by then and getting too old for that sh!t...

Doesn't Jackman love playing Wolverine? He'll probably keep doing it until they stop asking him to, or he looks way too old to be credible (which isn't happening yet.)

^ Or injure him seriously enough in Apocalypse that his aging as seen in the future sections of DOFP kicks in early.

I expect he means what he says. He will have been playing this character for 16+ years, and is approaching 50. It would hardly be surprising if he's ready to call it quits.

Jackman has posted a pic of the claws on Instagram with the caption 'one more time.' He's signed for another solo movie. Does the post solely refer to full-scale appearances or is he ruling out cameos in AOA & Deadpool? Or is it a negotiating ploy?

His caption says "one last time".

Given the way DOFP ended, it'd be odd if there weren't some resolution to his dealings with Mystique, but there apparently hasn't been any official word on whether he'll be in Apocalypse. My best guess is he posted this to commemorate signing the contract for his third solo outing. If he is appearing in Apocalypse, even in a short/cameo capacity, he's probably already agreed to that, and if he's not shirtless or doing an action scene, it may not feel like a full-fledged appearance to him, with all the prep that entails, whereas doing a third and final solo movie would involve the whole fitness regimen and full-on starring duties "one last time." We fans may count his appearance in First Class as an official time he played the part, and thus wonder if this means he won't be in Apocalypse or the solo movies whatsoever, but to him, the FC cameo was doubtless more like an afternoon of chatting with some old friends and doing a short bonus bit, and not a "real" go at the role.

I think there's also a longer version of the classroom scene in the first movie where they show Jubilee using her powers.

Yeah, he's confirmed it's Wolverine III (I presume three claws ?) but I can still see him doing cameo's for the next few X movies. As long as he doesn't have to keep getting 'ripped' into his 50's, why shouldn't he ?

Does anyone really want to see anyone else playing Wolverine ?
