I will admit, at first, I was mildly off-put by that, ......but then, with a second viewing, I realized life is too short to worry about such insignificant hang ups. STID still rocked, and did quite well.
Having just watched it, that whole scene with Kirk and Spock through the glass was just perfect and a good way to end Kirk's character arc -- until Spock made that scream. But that scream was such a tiny part of the movie that it shouldn't override the rest of it.
