David Mack, by a mile. Destiny was just an awesome piece of fiction. I think i've read it at least 3 times.
This is like asking parents to choose between their children, isn't it?
I voted for 6 people.![]()
But if I had to vote for just one, this time I would be able to choose. While I like and would blindly take a book written by many Trek writers knowing it'd be good, I especially like Christopher L. Bennett's work.
I had to think about this one for awhile. Since I could only vote for on I choose James Swallow, the author of my favorite Trek book "Cast No Shadow". Though Chris, Dave, and Kirsten have written some awesome books.
I love KRAD's political/ Klingon bent. I love Christopher Bennett's more hard sci-fi take on Star Trek (and his fill-in-the-gaps type stories). I'm a huge fan of what Bayer has done with the Voyager relaunch. Growing up, Voyager was may favorite series, but before Kirsten Bayer's novels DS9 was slowing edging out Voyager. Now, Voyager is my absolute favorite again. I did enjoy Christie Golden's take on Voyager, though I could never understand why Lyssa Campbell was so importantI've always enjoyed Cox's take on TOS, he really gets the characters. I love David R. George III's more operatic take on DS9. And Una McCormack's novels are always a joy to read. I especially love what she's been doing with Beverly Crusher lately.
Then you have certainly enjoyed
Lyssa being ripped apart by a klingon beast![]()
