"Best of Spock" Episodes

So far I have watched The Naked Time, A Piece of the Action, and The Enterprise Incident to get an episode from each season with a wide variety of stories. APOTA may seem like an odd choice, but I wanted to see Leonard doing comedy, and Spock's line, "I'd advise ya's ta keep dailin'" to Oxmyx is priceless!

There are a lot of 'Spock Goes Crazy!' episodes in my Best of viewing. Naked Paradise Anihilate Beauty...

Is it wrong to admit I've never liked "Is There In Truth No Beauty?"? Everyone is so out of character in it, it's disturbing. This is the same optimistic series that claims, "...where I come from, size, shape, or color makes no difference..." but not in, "Is There In Truth". In that episode we get, "...you're going to yearn for someone who looks like yourself, someone who isn't ugly." And then there is that dinner scene where they all fawn all over Dr. Jones. When I think of bad season three episodes, this one is on the list.

Now in "Balance of Terror" Spock confronts a bigot head-on and saves the ship.

The blatant and repeated use of the word "ugly" in that episode always bothered me.

Friends of mine were watching old episodes of Columbo and in one, Nimoy played a murderous, insidiously, complete asshole! Personally, I'd love to see a thread with more Nimoy than just in Trek ('cause, we've all seen 'em).

Ooooh, and I found a clip!

MeTV showed that one Sunday as part of its tribute to Nimoy (after having just run it on-schedule a few weeks prior). You forgot to mention that his victim is none other than Anne Francis!

For non-Trek Nimoy viewing we have watched The Outer Limits "I, Robot" which he had quite a good role in. "The Brain Eaters" where poor Lenny was obscured by fog and a Moses style wig and beard. A Bonanza episode written by Gene Coon, "The Ape", where he plays a sleazy card dealer. And of course Nimoy's big screen staring role of "Kid Monk Baroni" at the impossibly young age of 20. Monk would be his biggest role until a certain Vulcan came along twelve years later. Check it out!

A small part I know but he was Konig in the Outer Limits episode Production and decay of small particles or summit like that! ;)

You want some Nimoy/Shatner fun? Pop in his TJ Hooker appearance. "Vengeance is Mine." I remember what a big deal this episode was when it premiered...
