Actually, that's exactly what defines something as "ambiguous". Your "grasp" of basic English leaves a lot to be desired.
"Riddling" and "ambiguity" are terms applied to things that aren't meant to be understood by a majority of recipients or are intentionally obscure so that the person employing that linguistic tactic can enjoy the resulting confusion. In these cases, it's just you.
