Fat, dumpy, a DUFF

I got a Lammily doll just before Christmas. according to her creator if the Lammily doll was a real person she would be the size of an average 19 year old girl. Here is a photo of one

It seems that doll lovers who have a view concerning the Lammily doll fall into three groups

1) Those that love the doll
2) Those that love Barbie and also like the Lammily Doll
And
3) those that love Barbie and hate the Lammily doll.

I have read many reviews of the Lammily doll and watched reviews on YouTube about her. Those that hate her have called her fat, or dumpy, or ugly or a DUFF. I hadn't come against DUFF before but it means Designated Ugly Fat Friend.

So I am asking people here - is this doll Barbie's DUFF?

Edited to add a photo of my doll who I have named Millie wearing the dress aI bought off Etsy for her.

I had to check Urban Dictionary for the meaning of DUFF because I must not have gone to enough bars to hear it. So, no. By definitions of 'fat' today, Brigitte Bardot would be DUFF.

Can see what the DUFF-Ian's are saying, but, no, she looks more proportionate and more "real" than Barbie or Skipper or Kelly or what have you. Now they need a male friend. That'll be interesting...

This is the first doll released by the small Lammily company. It only came around through crowdfunding I paid for her about 8 months before she was released.

The company plans to bring out other dolls - different ethnicities and male dolls. I plan to buy the next doll that comes out (i am hoping for a black doll).

I might buy a Ken doll to keep her company as the Ken shoes and some of the clothes can fit her. I will pass Ken off as her brother and have her stealing his clothes.

Someone made a comment that she must be a lesbian because she is too ugly for a man to want to date. I have therefore decided my Millie is gay (and not at all ugly).

And while we are talking about dolls, I never thought in a million years that anyone would complain about these dolls but it seems that some people do not like what she is doing (i.e. taking old, damaged and discarded Bratz dolls and giving them a new life)

She sold 20 dolls on Etsy last weekend. They sold for between $75-165 Australian ($AUD75 is about $US58). I was hoping to get one of the cheaper ones for my birthday but the closest I got was to get a couple of them into my cart but the sold before I paid for them.

I think what she's doing is terrific! She's essentially giving them a new lease on life as a better, more role appropriate appearance.

That might be that I have her head in the wrong position because I had her hard up against the bedhead because I don't have a stand for her (I have one on its way).

I don't think it is her head because I have seen a photo where a Barbie and a Lammily heads were swap and both still looked good.

I believe you. She looks hot.
