Glad to hear it was recoverable. When files get corrupted, particularly binary files, it's normally next to impossible to bring them back.

Got the basic architecture of the intensive care ward fleshed out tonight. Now on to the details...

You've said you have plans for unseen areas of the ship. I could imagine a B Deck TWOK briefing room having similar architecture to the IC ward. The beams remind me a bit of the TOS briefing room, and sickbay later doubled as the briefing room in early TNG.

I'm curious - under temperature, what does "HTHER" indicate?

That's my guess as well. Althought it's my understanding that hypothermia sets in at around 90 degrees F.

Either way, I based the image off this screencap from the special features of TWOK:
    http://movies.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/bonus_twokhd/movierelics/movierelics045.jpg

The coloring, of course, differs from what was seen in TWOK, so I made the appropriate adjustments.

I wonder if that coloring was supposed to be used in TMP? None of the bed monitors were lit during the scene where Spock is being examined after his trip through V'Ger, and the same monitors we see in TWOK were used for the entire run of TNG.

Actually, there is one lit in the TMP scene: http://movies.trekcore.com/gallery/albums/tmp2/tmphd2239.jpg

It appears to be the same hues as the TWOK version, but lit far less bright.

Spent the day making some "PADDs" (or electronic clipboards) from TMP that ended up on the walls of both sickbay and the torpedo bay in TWOK. (See reference images here and here, and also here and here)

I also started on the desk that sits underneath the lighting alcove. It's a very weird, organic shape that was a challenge to model, but I think I've gotten the gist of it. There are very few shots of it in TMP and TWOK, but the re-painted and redecorated desk appeared in some early episodes of TNG. Here are the references:

And here it is in my sickbay rendition:

Also, in the above screenshot, you'll see the pipe fixture and the signage that was added in TWOK:

Now, to figure out what kind of chair sits behind that desk...

This photo perfectly exemplifies what drives me crazy about the movie era stuff. This piece of equipment does not look like it belongs in the Star Trek universe to me. It looks less advanced then TOS. I'm sure it has been discussed here ad nauseam but the fact that the movie technology seemed to be less advanced with less capability then TOS has always made me feel that the movies are a totally different Trek; not an extension of TOS.

My feelings about the movies of course does not reflect on the beautiful work that Donny is doing which is quite amazing. Your skill, speed, dedication and accuracy is nothing short of amazing. I always look forward to your posts!

I'm in awe of all this incredible work. The TMP never quite measured up to the show IMHO but these renders have made me reconsider the beauty of the Phase II/TMP/TWOK set designs. Thank you as always for making these images available.

This one of the reasons I like the TAS artwork. It sort of ties the TOS era to the TMP stuff. It uses more oval displays and buttons than you ever see in TOS and provides a nice visual bridge.
