"Agent Carter" season one discussion and spoilers

Never say die. You could wind up with someone new who makes you adopt, or one of those godfatherships you bought into, just to be polite, could mature.

Sorry.

Sorry, I've got seven godchildren -- but with almost 40 years on most of them, the concept of "maturing" immediately veers to "squicky". :ack:

Besides, I want to be the "unruly/fun uncle", not the "creepy old uncle."

And telling outrageous lies is part of the package.

Turns out a friend of mine played one of the new Howling Commandos this episode. Look out for the pretty boy.

Tonight...
"The Iron Ceiling" - Peggy is finally trusted with a mission and calls upon her trusted Howling Commandos squad for backup. But her cover could be at risk when SSR Chief Dooley also sends Agent Thompson with her, on "Marvel's Agent Carter," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Act I:

Interesting. Eerie use of Snow White.

So...backstory for Dottie, it was.

And...you just know the "clumsiness" was to lift something--AND...lo and behold.

Well, Jarvis, to be fair, the men at the office seem to BE changing their minds abut her....

And lo and behold--Peggy proving her worth for them all to see. And we now know what "Leviathan" is. Basically...Russia's HYDRA, then?

Of course, Howard's connected.

Act II:

Now this is interesting. Last episode, Thompson gave the impression that his sexism was a bit of an act. (As the chief notes, it is he's just worried about her in a romantic sense?)

AND...the 107th, aka...

Poor Sousa! More shipping, on the bright side.

Nice to see Peggy still trusts Howard's innocence.

Sousa checking Peggy's file, due to the injuries...and THEN...oh, not good. Figures the "bright" one is the one to find her out.

Act III:

Love this campfire sequence. More of Thompson's "human" side is always welcome. And the commandoes handing him the drink--pure gold.

More on Finow...and Stark. More on his history--and the general. It seems like the chief suspects there's more to this than just Stark being bad.

The ominous Russian chanting...leading to something creepy! Indoctrination.

OH! Don't tell me, Dum-Dum's...

Act IV:

Oh, that's a relief. But...was that one of the Commandoes who bit it?

Jarvis and the Chief. Love the line about "three sides".

Freeing Russian prisoners of Leviathan!

But Dottie...is in Peggy's room. And just as the "indoctrination" room implied...

Oh, boy, "Hello, I'm Peggy Carter." Not...good...at all.

(Of course, I'm bracing myself for another twist, a la "She's with a third party"...like Stark's, perhaps?)

Act V:

Well, I suppose that clears Stark's name.

Li's down! Another one...

Thompson's shell-shocked, and Peggy saves his life.

Act VI:

"Never speak again."

More growth for Thompson. Tragic backstory--and we learn why he's so cold-hearted on the outside.

Very dark for Dottie.

And Carter gains the respect of the others...but Sousa has unfinished business.

Teaser:

Oh, crap--now PEGGY's on the run?!?

Oh, boy, "Hello, I'm Peggy Carter." Not...good...at all.

Single White Agent?

Don't know; all I know is, it would seem Dottie's about to masquerade as Peggy for some nefarious purpose.

One wonders if what she's about to do is part of what causes Peggy to be on the run.

Shame. Just when she's getting the respect of the boys...

Dottie was putting one in the spank bank by creating a movie in her mind where Steve Rogers was ravishing her.

Interesting choice because that was gimp Steve, not Captain America.

Is it possible that she wasn't aware that that was Captain America, and by chance, she just likes dominating extremely puny men?
