Slap some corporate logos on there and he looks ready for Motocross!

The interview over at Collider (well it's not actually an interview as much as it is paid PR pretending to be an interview) confirms that beyond the character names and powers it's not going to have anything to do with the comics. They even rather hilariously try and argue that the "Fantastic" in "Fantastic Four" doesn't actually mean what the people making the comics for the past 50+ years have taken it to mean in terms of the style of stories that get told.

All those people saying it sounded like they were making Chronicle 2, congratulations you were right!

The most annoying thing about this whole thing is that regardless of whether it's a success or a flop there's no chance of us getting a faithful Fantastic Four film for a long, long time, if ever.

Just think of some of Kirby's artistic visions splashed up on an Imax screen, then about the "grounded" "realistic" film these people think we want. It's pretty depressing.

Grounded, gritty realism is what all the cool kids wanna see, dontcha know?

I thought it was very smart of Marvel to set Guardians Of The Galaxy in inner-city Detroit for that very reason. And turning Thanos into a drug-dealing slumlord was a strike of genius.

I actually kind of like the trailer. It doesn't appear to have a lot of resemblance to the comics, but taken on its own, it looks pretty cool! I dig the emphasis on the science stuff.

The director has revealed in a new interview that composer Philip Glass is co-scoring the film (with previously announced Marco Beltrami).
