Avengers 2 News, Rumors, Etc. Pictures until release...

It's nice to see all 8 together, but yeah it does scream photoshop. Especially Cap & Iron Man's heads.
And Hulk's face just looks weird.

Yeah, I can definitely understand him wanting to move on and do something different. I would be OK with the Russos taking over the Avengers movies.

Curious how Quicksilver will be used in this film. The X-men version was kind of fun comic relief, but really had nothing to do with the comics version's personality, who is kind of an overprotective and bad-tempered jerk.

It looks like they're sort of following the comic origin sort of, with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch starting off as villains (But with Strucker and presumably Ultron instead of Magneto) before reforming and joining the Avengers (Although both have sometimes become villains again)

I wouldn't be surprised to see Quicksilver's overprotective nature present in the MCU, since Scarlet Witch is actually around in this universe.

I get the impression that personality and background here will be closer to the comics with the obvious exception of a lack of mutant connection.

That's good news. The last comic I read with Pietro in it, had him as a glib smartass. Which is not who Pietro is.

Yeah, I think that's probably Marvel's attempt to make him more like the DOFP version. It's something they've kind of been doing since X-men came out, altering the characters (and often their costumes) to draw in the movie fans.

One thing I wonder with them possibly being Inhumans, and the Inhumans movie coming out, if they'll somehow work in his complicated relationship with Crystal. Granted, she made her debut in Fantastic Four (and has been a member of the team a few times) but it looks like Marvel holds the rights to at least some characters introduced in FF such as the other Inhumans and Ronan (Who is Crystal's second husband in the comics oddly enough).

Ya know, call me a pessimist, but is anyone else thinking Age of Ultron just won't set the world alight like the first Avengers did? Personally, two out of the 3 direct build up movies from Phase 2 were pretty weak, and the trailers while interesting aren't really getting me hyped up.

I dunno, I was kinda flat about the first movie until I walked into the theatre and realised "holy shit, Im seeing The Avengers!" but thats gone for me now. Im sure the film will be good, I just don't feel like its gonna be a huge mega money maker.

Of course it won't. It's a sequel to a movie that relied a whole lot on a specific gimmick: superhero teamup as a payoff from several standalone films. Now Avengers is a great movie, but that feeling of finally seeing what all the previous films built to will never come again. Age of Ultron must, like Empire Strikes Back, be a better, deeper movie in itself than the first, or it will not be as good.

Now the fact that sequels are often worse than the original is something we're pretty used to, so I don't think it will be a major shocker if it doesn't do as good at the box office.

Well, the Iron Man sequels weren't bad movies, nor was Thor 2. And Winter Soldier was just as good as First Avenger.
