What would you do if you got trapped in the star trek universe

IronMaiden

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
What would you do if you got trapped in the star trek universe?
tell me what century and what you would do.
here is your starting point, you will wake up in your house
and found out that you are in the star trek universe.
here is what I would do, and if you want you can make it a script.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
24th century
(IronMaiden Wakes up)
IronMaiden:My house, why is everything different
(IronMaiden Looks around and sees a guy wearing a star trek shirt)
IronMaiden:Hay wait, I don't think it is a good idea wearing a star trek shirt
guy:What are you talking about, I work for Starfleet, i'm going to be late.
IronMaiden:Just wait, I just don't want anyone to call you a nerd
guy:What does that have to do with me working with Starfleet
IronMaiden: Do you know what Star Trek is?
guy:No, what is it?
IronMaiden:This universe is a tv show and star trek is my favorite tv show.
guy:Sorry but I have to go.
IronMaiden:One my question
guy:make it quick
IronMaiden:How do I get to Deep Space Nine
(IronMaiden walks on to DS9)
IronMaiden:I don't believe this,
Weyoun:Captain Sisko, I can't tell you how happy I am to see you again.
(IronMaiden Near By)
Sisko:I wish I could say the same.
(IronMaiden Walks away)
IronMaiden:I wonder what would happen if I did something, will it change the star trek universe, I think it is time to find out.
Weyoun:It pains me to hear you say that, captain.
IronMaiden:Hay Jeffrey combs, my old friend
Sisko:Jeffrey Combs, sorry but there is no one with that name.
IronMaiden:But Weyoun is Jeffrey combs
Weyoun:I think we should go talk to the Bajorans now.
IronMaiden:So you are going to talk to Kai Winn, She is the worst Bajoran in the world, I'm happy that she will dies in the future.
Sisko:Security get him out of here.
(IronMaiden is in the brig for until transported by the Dominion)
IronMaiden:Weyoun, Why did you transport me?
Weyoun:You said that Kai Winn dies in the future, is this true or is this same fake story.
IronMaiden:She dies because of Gul Dukat, and I know becouse this was a tv show and I woke up in this Star Trek universe.
(To Be Worked on)
but you get the idea
I will write the rest later

So you are going to talk to Kai Winn,
she is the worst Bajoran in the world,
I'm happy that she will dies in the future.

That fate falls to us all in time, with few exceptions, all the people we love so much in Star Trek will die in their own future.

:)

What if? Since money no longer exists (yeah, I'm going there, deal with it) I can just lounge around all day without a care in the world.

True, but there are a few who died in their own past. (Lt. Hawk, Daniels, etc.)

Make sure i wasn't dreaming.
Get a way to be on a Starship.
Shake Picards hand.
Shake captain Riker hands.
Have a long chat with EMH and Bashir.
Another long chat with Garak.
Manage to get a date with Ezri.
Meet Barclay, Tuvok, Paris, B'elanna and Kim.
Say hello to Odo on the Gamma Quadrant.
Have a class with professor O'brian on the academy.
Become a Starfleet Doctor and work on DS9 or the Enterprise.
Travel in time to shake Archer's hand and have a chat with him and Trip. ;)
Go to the future again. :)

I'm not trapped in the Star Trek universe.

The Star Trek universe is trapped with me.

Well...how the heck do you replicate a couch? Every replicator I've seen looks like it's not even big enough to replicate a decent-size dog bed. Does it just squeeze into the slot then *pop* out?

Answer: Replicate a couch. Not one of those thrift store couches, a couch lower-middle class people can only dream of.

Industrial replicator. Good luck getting the couch from the cargo bay, into the turbolift and into your quarters.

Oh, wait, I guess that's what the cargo transporter is for, isn't it?

Data replicated a guitar for that one fella in The Neutral Zone, and guitars are generally larger than the usual replicators we see on the show. I imagine a couch would be relatively simple (or even if you did it large piece-by-large piece like an Ikea couch, it'd be possible).

Go to a computer terminal, download all technology specs and other data I can easily get my hands on, and download that data into a chip I'll get implanted subdermally-- just in case I might wake up in 'our' universe again the next day (or any day after that) and I could get filthily rich and insanely powerful with the information.

If I would be really sure I'd have to spend the rest of my life there, I'd seriously start considering the career change I'd have to make to fit in into that society.

I'd prefer the 24th century, post Dominion war. I'd jump around from earth settlements to stations to Federation friendly worlds and probably wouldn't join Starfleet.

...and eventually get holo-addiction.

...then, when I'm old, I'll make it into the Nexus.

Since I am so far behind the times and will never catch up I will pick a planet that interests me and where I don't find relating to the locals too hard (ie, not Vulcan) and go hang out there for a few years. Probably would do a 3 month crash course on "Life: Now" on earth first but after that I'm off to see the aliens.

I'm leaning heavily towards Denobula.

24th century, definitely!

If I happen to "enter" the ST universe on-board the Enterprise, I'd definitely try to have a chat with Data, Troi and Guinan. Then have Beverly check me over and use her 24th century medical science to cure the genetic defects fate has dealt me.
Then, if Picard hasn't managed to dump me off at Earth by then, I'd replicate one of those skirt uniforms and prance around the ship's corridors in it.
After that Picard will likely confine me to my quarters until he can dump me on someone else so I'll just spend the time replicating nice food and catching up on the literature of the last four centuries.

Back on Earth and now free of the toils of a capital driven society I'd update my teaching degree to the current standards and travel to some far off world or feldgling colony to become a teacher there. Get a few more interesting degrees, write holo novels, possibly move to Betazed (conveniently taking an extended vacation once the Dominion War starts)
