Now that I think of it, it might not be as funny as it seems... A tribble couldn't even kill a fly, let alone shed human blood. But they wouldn't need to in order to kill. All they would have to do is eat the entire ships storage, and the entire crew would die of starvation. Now, if they want to go for efficiency, they can even drink every drop of water on the ship. It wouldn't take, what, a week for the entire crew, to die of thirst. Way more gruesome than anything Freddy Krueger could do, but without a drop of blood. There would be nothing left but starved, dried out bodies a month from then.
Has it been almost a year since we've seen anything new here? Wow! Have to do something about that - surely our bookshelves aren't nearly full (enough) . Imagine that Captain Kirk wrote a book (maybe more than one) from his experiences as the commander of a starship, and the lessons he's learned - and now maybe he wants others to learn those lessons, as well. Would it be all adventure and glamour, or might he share that humanity isn't perfect, but it's the struggle to try to be perfect that makes life worthwhile?
Well, technically (no pun intended), aren't they all fake? Rob Caswell and I have both created a couple of modern, color 'technical manual' pages (Rob's - mine) - they're as fake as I would imagine they could be; personally, I'd like to see the Tech Manual recreated in a similar style. Definitely after . His next book is "The Negotiator."
