What grade would you give the Marvel Cinematic Universe? (Ever-Changing Question)

Sure that, plus what Fandrall said in 'Thor' plus Thor seemed to recognise he was on Earth.

Plus I doubt the ancient Norse would revere Thor as their god of thunder through second hand accounts. I mean, how often do you think a visiting Asgardian would sit down to chit-chat with the mortals about the latest gossip from Asgard's royal court.

Oh, and then there's this. ;)
Does anyone think for a second that Sif and the warriors three went to earth without Thor?
 
Was Thor's age ever stated? That would help.

If we take his statement to Coulson literally, either Loki has caused trouble in Norse times, 'Thor' isn't the first Thor, or Thor will tell his story to the Norse after he's sent back in time during a later event (which is the most unlikely because Odin or Heimdall would see him). There is the possibility he meant "the last time", but the fact that he didn't say it, and that Coulson gave a 'wait, what?' look following that statement (check it out the next time you see it), and because Weadon is behind it (who's known for leaving hidden messages in his work), it feels like they at least meant to follow up on it, but didn't, leaving it as 'of course, we meant last time'

Then there's the most simple explanation, it was a slip up.

I go with slip, or even intentional decison to not make a differnent line. I thought Coulson was confused because we don't have Bilgesnipe anymore.

Too bad, too, that was the animal they made McRib out of.

Let's be clear about this: Just because Marvel signed him for nine films doesn't mean that Marvel is obligated to make nine films with him. All it means is that he is contracted to appear in nine films (probably over a specified period of time... I doubt they'd expect him to make the ninth film when he's in his sixties) should they call him up. Marvel has become very good at negotiating these long-term contracts after Downey Jr. took them to the coals to renew his contract.

But here's the bottom: there is no certainty that he will actually appear in nine films!
 
^She's been in the background for Iron Man, The Avengers, and Captain America, and she's the only human to sneak up on and manipulate Loki. She deserves more than more background appearances, she deserves a backstory. What's Marvel's deal with denying her a movie (with obvious Barton tie in).

A woman superhero with her own movie is obviously not believable in the sense of say, a man flying on an ant.

It does seem a bit odd, especially since they're already set on a Carol Danvers Captain Marvel movie.

I'm not hugely familiar with the comics lore so out of curiosity, is there a "definitive" Black Widow centric story out there, or is all her best stuff in a supporting role?

If the latter is the case then I think I could understand the hesitancy, since the only other recourse is to commission something original (which they may have already done for all we know, to no avail) or do her Origin Story. I think at this point, giving her a whole movie dedicated to her origin would seem extraneous (plus I gather they'll at least be touching on it in AoU.)

On the other hand maybe Marvel just aren't willing to pay Scarlett Johansson her fee for a title role. They've been known to low-ball actors in the past.
 
I think the time to do a Black Widow movie was pre-Avengers or at least pre-Agents of Shield. I'm sure they could come up with a story to tell and maybe even make a good movie to tell it in, but sandwiched between Thor 3, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Doctor Strange (or whatever) I suspect a Black Widow (with her loyal sidekick Hawkeye?) black ops spy thriller would feel a bit trifling. They could have used her in the lead of an Agents of Shield film, but with the show already filling that niche they've somewhat boxed her out.
