Yeah, I agree. The NuTrek movies various attempts have been similarly cringe enducing. Having said that... when I read the thread title, and before I even clicked on the thread, I must admit the first thing that popped into my head was "Counterpoint". I think it plays the angle very effectively, and much of that is down to Kate Mulgrew, who approaches the material with just the right mixture of determination and vulnerability. It's a subtle, yet absolutely spectacular, performance from the lead actress which completely sells it to the audience.
How could i have been so foolish not to notice this before! The scene in Resistance where Janeway pretends to be a hooker and lures the guard into the darkness......hot!
My interpretation of the events was this: "Hey Janeway, you're not dressed like a hooker, so why do you think that that is what dressing like a hooker looks like?"
You want to talk about sexy, that is feasible to Janeway's reality? She plays tennis. One of those short skirts, polo socks, a head band and grunting like she's been punched in the nads every time she serves the ball. Janeway's sexiest episode Was macrocosm because her arms were bare and everything was covered in sweat.
and she grows suction cups on her hands so they can do it like Garfield does a window? That's the one. "If I have any questions about mating behavior, I'll know where to go." eheheheheh. But yeah the episode was a little gross and awkward.
The one time that i really did not find Janeway attractive was when she played Velocity with Seven. The woman does not look good in sports clothing. She looked like a funny little man playing against a stunning model So am i the only one who actually thinks that's kinda hot. Forced to entwine intensely with your mate for a festival of sweat drenched fucking....unable to tear yourself apart keep fucking must. keep. fucking
Didn't he say: "May that boy never know the contempt I have for his mother.", or something to that effect?
Except that, if it isn't his child then it becomes kidnapping and a felony. They're still under the law of the federation, aren't they?
