The Blacklist, Season 2 Discussion

^

They really to step it up with the writing for Fucking Bunch of Idiots, including, most notably, Lizzie. Red is awesome but if you're not going to make him the center of the entire show, you need to give us something else that is at least equally interesting--or at the very least makes us not mind so much that Reddington is not on screen at that moment.

If it wasn't for Spader, who would watch this show?
That's a good question.

I didn't mind Boone too much in the first season, but she's just insufferable now.

And, yes, everyone's a fucking bunch of idiots.

This show is quickly falling into the NBC sophomore suck trap. Hopefully the long hiatus will give the writers time to regroup and star fresh.

This was an excellent episode! It almost felt like a series finale. I was surprised the Berlin story wrapped up so fast but I suppose it had reached its natural conclusion. I liked Alan Alda getting a human moment at the end.

Any theories on what the Fulcrum is? From their earlier conversations in S1 it just sounded like blackmail but it now it sounds like a weapon/technology.

The computer guy whose name escapes me is competent, but he's never had to go out into the field to do something stupid. I forgot, did he get to kill anyone during season one's infiltration episode?

Well since Chuck was also on NBC...

I hated that scene. I guess they've decided to go for extra gorey. I could have done without that.

I was totally distracted by the fact that if they slathered some grease or butter on the bomb, it totally would have slipped over Hawkeye's head with no problem. Maybe even without it, because the only thing blocking it is his ears.

Couldn't they make it look a little tighter? It was motion sensitive, but the guy was moving it to examine it, so they could have slowly and gently pulled it off.

Really. It doesn't seem to be hinged anywhere, so it appears they just plopped it over his head and activated it. :)

Plus, they moved him from where he was being held to Red's playroom, so it must have been limitedly sensitive.

BTW, this must have been Frank Burns' dream come true.

They should have gotten Robert Duvall as a bomb expert.

yeah that bomb was clearly not stuck to his head. you clearly could have just slid that off him. they needed a line explaining something about a sensor knowing if it gets removed or something because they had no problem transporting him across the city.
