The picture was taken in my study (aka my toy room) where we keep Calypso's cage. Gawaine lives in my daughter's room but I bring him into my study if she is going to be gone. Every once in awhile I'll turn from my desk to find one or both perched on the Enterprise.

Sorry for the second post, but I actually got a photo of the feather boys perching on the Enterprise this morning. That is Sir Gawaine (the diamond dove) on the nacelle and Calypso (the budgerigar (budgie) parakeet) on the saucer section.

The Star Trek Barbie is a definite 'must have' for the female Trekkie. 
What are those mini-starship plaque things?
They are replicas of the dedication plaques done in lucite paper weights. I bought them years ago at the Paramount store that used to be on Michigan Ave in Chicago. The front one is for the USS Enterprise Starship class and the back one is for the USS Enterprise - Sovereign class.
