Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Discussion

I fully expected Katrina to die in this episode and was quite shocked that she didn't. Her character is pretty pointless and boring and gets in the way of Crane/Abby shipping. She's a mystery character without a personality. She's a plot device.

Again, Ichabod & co. get an item "to protect it from Henry" only to find out that Henry just wanted them to find it--since for whatever reason he couldn't find it, couldn't access it, or it's just easier to take it from the good guys than bust his ass to get it himself.

Less Hawley, more Jenny and Irving. I do like how Reyes is coming along, but I still want Irving back.

Maybe since Selfie got canceled, Cho can have more appearances? I liked Selfie and was hoping for it to continue, mostly cause I like Cho.

And if he wants to bring Karen Gillan along, I'm sure they could find a role for her.

Another week and no Jenny and a small Irving sighting. I am glad they found a way to incorporate the new sheriff without her being all negative Nancy but I miss Irving.

hands up those who were hoping Hawley wouldn't survive his encounter with the secubus?

And Henry better hope Moloch doesn't find out everything he's doing claiming it's the plans of the big boss.

Hand raised. As I was watching Hawley here, the name "Scrappy-Doo" came inexorably to mind.

They're trying to give Hawley a romantic thing with Abbie and a buddy-cop dynamic with Ichabod, but there isn't really any chemistry there in either case, certainly not compared to the great Mison-Beharie chemistry that made this show a hit.

I'm so tired of seeing Hawley. He's a two- dimensional character who has hardly any personality or purpose, other than up the count of white actors on the show. If the producers wanted an occult expert with access to magical objects, they should've just written Jenny into that role, or why not cast a different actor or write a different character other than Hawley?

Katrina works best as a mole within Henry's group. She just felt like a third wheel the whole time she was with Ichabod and Abbie.

They seem to have a "have the cake and eat it too" problem where Katrina is this unobtainable object of longing but who is with Ichabod every episode.

I didn't mind this episode that much. While I don't hate Hawley quite as much as a lot of you, the focus on him over Jenny or Irving is definitely aggravating. And apparently the people who thought he was a love interest for Abbie were right, which means we are probably going to get stuck with a love triangle with him and the Mills sisters. I kind of wish they would just have Katrina either stay apart from the group or stay with them, this constant back and forth is getting annoying. I actually thought having her working with Abbie and Ichabod was cool, and was really hoping she would stay with them. I thought the stuff with Moloch was definitely interesting. I wonder how long he will be a baby? I'm thinking either the season finale or mid-season finale will end with him taking on his adult form.
So it looks like next week is going to focus pretty heavily on the Mills, so hopefully we'll get a lot more Jenny.

The Mills Sisters?
Hell of an act. Came bustin' out of Motown in '62 and took the Hudson Valley by storm!

I'm so "over' Hawley and looking forward to next week when Jenny shows up again. She better be more than 1 side in a love triangle or I'm going to scream. :scream:

I am worried about what Abraham will do to Katrina when he discovers Henry was right about her.

I also miss Irving and wish if they had to replace him as Sherriff, that the new Sheriff would have been a minion of an evil coven fighting against Katrina's people all these years.

"All Henry, all the time" is getting boring this year, just as the headless horseman has become more lovesick sop than bringer of the Apocalypse.

Wasn't he with Abbie's sister?

That was certainly alluded to previously - and now he has the hots for Abbie - and she seems to be at least mildly interested. ?!? WTF?!? It's almost like they don't really know what to do with his character so they're switching things up and making things up as they go along. It's not an issue of 'hate' the character, but whether or not it was necessary to introduce it at all. I would have much preferred to have Lyndie Greenwood's role as Jenny beefed up - and move the story along for Orlandi Jones' character, Captain Irving. There is so much more these two could be doing.
