Star Trek scenes playing out in life

I'm starting this for some funny things I've noticed with myself and I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one, in certain situations I've found a certain scene or line bouncing around in my mind, like I'm living the part.

I've got 3 examples to start, plus I think you might grasp what I'm saying from them.

1. When I lost something on my desk or right around where I am, I kind of relive that moment in Star Trek II when the Reliant's shields are dropping and Khan is searching the control panel "Where is the overide? The overide!"

2. When I'm telling someone or just smelling something bad, I hear Mr. Spock from I, Mudd telling Norman "...smells really bad."

3. This one isn't as often, but when someone is discussing voting, I hear Gath from Journey to Babel saying, "How do you vote, Sarek of Vulcan?"

So if you think of any Star Trek things and want to mention them, or just want to confirm I'm as crazy as Dr. Sevrin, just go right ahead.

Once when my mother was grilling me on "whatever happened to [ex-girlfriend of mine]. She was nice."

Context: my mother is herself twice divorced.

I told her: "you of all people should be aware of the dangers of reopening old wounds."

Well, when I had a stressful job, every morning I relived Janeway saying COFFEE FIRST to Neelix. Also when she yells at him "Listen to me VERY carefully, because I'm only going to say this once: Coffee. Black."

On some days I would proceed to drink the black coffee whilst looking at Janeway coffee memes.

Coffee is life.

had these on another thread about favorite one-liners, but probably more appropriate here as they're expressions I use on a regular basis ...

- McCoy: "Dammit Jim!" any time I need a "dammit", I just tack the "Jim" to the end of it, and skip the "I'm a ..." part. Even got my wife doing it.

- Scotty: "Suits me fine, I just bought a boat" when something is delayed or cancelled. FYI, I do not own a boat.

- Sulu: "So much for the little training cruise" when something goes from simple or easy to difficult or complex (and I can deliver it with a pretty good Takei inflection)

- Spock: "Fascinating" when I find something ... well, fascinating. I'll occasionally expand it to "fascinating, Captain"

- Sulu: "San Francisco, I was born there" which I was not, but I do utter it every time I drive over the Bay Bridge or Golden Gate Bridge.

- McCoy: "It's dead Jim" when something doesn't work or function

- Scotty: "Helloooo computer" when my computer isn't responding as quickly as I'd like. I'll even pick up the mouse and speak into it sometimes

Not sure if that fits in here, but i had a moment once, that actually lasted a few days. I was in love with a girl, but she and i ware just friends... Then she meet some other guys and we kinda separated (not for my will, i actually tried to make the friendship last, but she did not...) After a few days i was really bad and sad, then i watched "Crossfire" with Odo and Kira and really felt for the character (that's probably why he's my favorite) And all that really helped me overcome that situation... That indeed was one thing responsible for making me a DS9 fan. :)

By the way! I'm not sure if that have something to do with what i said up there, but one thing i always end up saying is the classic "humanoids" from Odo (with the proper voice sure :D ). I say that always i see someone doing something strange or just something i don't fully understand.

When I get in an elevator and push the button, I often say "Main Bridge".

Whenever I wear white & grey with a black belt, I fancy I'm dressed in the pajama uniforms worn in STAR TREK: The Motion Picture.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I've used the Fesarius puppet alien voice to announce an approaching deadline...

YOU NOW HAVE ONE MINUTE!!!

This is a toughie.

"He's dead Jim." comes to mind.

hmm...sometimes I like to say 'Schedule' how Picardo does.

"Do it!"-Janeway

my four year old tells me to go Warp 6 when I drive.

I tried a thread like this a few weeks/couple of months back and it bombed, but I think the OP explained the thread much better than I did.

Here I go:

1) Anytime I'm backing my car out of a complicated parking situation, I think of the stealing of the Enterprise and think I'm like Sulu/Scotty piloting the Enterprise backwards. I hear Horner's music too.

2) When I was a kid, I used to throw toilet paper into the toilet and I would pee on the paper because my pee was phaser fire and the toilet paper was a Klingon ship. I dare someone to beat that!

If I'm in the passenger's seat, I'll often give the driver Picard's order from Nemesis: "Ram them." So far everyone has been smart enough to override my order.
