Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman In ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

The Gardener Almanac and an understanding of the characters makes it comprehensible 85% of the time. If you don't understand the characters he's talking about, no transliterative assistance will help

You've no idea how many comics I own. Hell, I've no idea how many comics I own!

There's only 18262 dinners in 50 years, and there's no guarantee that they've all been hot, but if they had all been hot, it's a safe bet that you have more than 18,262 comics.

You know that I own more comic books than you've had hot dinners Nerys?

This is just ordinary selfloathing.

What about the Legion of Super Heroes?

Their code names are super dumb.

Cosmic Boy?

Triplicate Girl?

Polar Boy?

Color Kid?

Stone Boy?

Lightning lad?

Star Boy?

Sun Boy?

Karate Kid?

Magnetic Kid?

The fellows in charge are (were) taking the piss.

How could you forget the BEST!?
MATTER-EATER LAD!!!

Matter-Eater Lad is awesome with an awesome name, so why would I put him on list of heroes with dumb names?

Paradise Island became Themscyria because Paradise Island is a dumb name.

History has a right side and wrong side.

A movie set in the twenties would be a great time to introduce Zinda Blake barnstormer who by the movie set in the forties would be part of the Blackhawk squadron. Nothing major in the first movie, a poster or throw away moment in a newspaper or newsreel. A bigger role in the forties would work.

I agree her outfit should change from era to era and knowing the movies it will change dramatically just to sell toys.

He was in 3 issues of Quasar 20 years ago.

Quasar went to shit after he came back from the dead.

His adventures in the afterlife were actually quite good.

I don't think Gruenwald knew what to do with him when he was alive.

For those who still don't recognize this: "Glom" as an alternate name for Matter-Eater Lad is an intentionally stupid joke. Glom is or was a member of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, therefore....

His adventures in the afterlife were actually quite good.

Sounds interesting. I may just have to look those up, next trip to the comic shop. The only two Quasar stories I remember reading from that run are the Journey Into Mystery 3-parter and the Race issue to see who was the Fastest One Alive.

"Buried Alien." ;)
