We'll see how next week goes but I suspect there will be some unanswered questions or pieces dubiously connected with this whole process.

I enjoyed the episode, but was what I just quoted above a deleted scene or are we getting it next week. Is Moffat trying to pull off Benedict Cumberbatch "You Think Your World is Safe...I will Have My Vengeance" moment for the finale? I really hope it comes next week because if not, I will be disappointed they teased something that seemed really important but ended up being a deleted scene.
As for the episode, I enjoyed it. I loved the reveal of the Master (Even though the one in Utopia was so much better, considering that included a regeneration) and I loved the stuff with Danny and Seb. Still, I can't help but think what I quoted above is something we might not get in the episode at all and that's really disappointing.

That stuck with me so hard that when Missy admitted who she really was I still thought, "Why is Romana ####ing with him?"

It's gonna be right at the front of the next episode. Clara's addressing the 'Dr. Skarosa' Cyberman who (by then) has stepped out of the tank.
So they pretty much used it as a double blind in the trailer last week. That's cool, but man I was kinda hoping for a much larger deal to the line, like Clara was still locked in the Doctor's timestream, or she was a timelord, or she was Missy, or something like that. Oh well.
It's still intriguing as I'm not sure in what context she would be saying that.
Also as recently as "The Night of the Doctor", the Sisterhood of Karn offered the Eighth Doctor the chance to be a man or woman instead he chose Warrior of course......
Again Moffat showing a regeneration into a woman is possible
If he wasn't already standing at episode's end, I'd be saying Clara's talking to Deleted Danny...
I went with my standard rating of "Good". As usual lots of great character moments and clever bits.
Damnit BBC, why'd you have to spoil the Cybermen? Imagine what a surprise that would have been if we hadn't known already.
As usual with these epic two partners, I can't help wondering how they're going to wrap up all those loose ends in just a single episode.
Wow, the "Go to Hell" scene was amazing. Kind of a shame it was a misunderstanding because that would be a very powerful departure scene for a Companion. I don't think the Doctor has ever kicked a companion out before (and no, Adam doesn't really count).
A bit disappointed about it being the Master. I also thought Romana at first. But I dunno, I'm hoping its a bit more complicated than just "The Master is a woman". How did he manage to pick up so many female mannerisms? And if he managed to escape Gallifrey, what about the other Time Lords? Surely (s)he can't be the only one clever enough to get through?
As for Tardis keys and finger snaps, I suspect one has to have a key on them in order for the snap to work. Otherwise anyone could get in.

Have we seen the snapping fingers work on a locked TARDIS door? Maybe that would explain it, you can open the doors by snapping but only if they haven't been locked with the key?
I'd seen it as the Doctor finally realising that he didn't need a key to get into his TARDIS; she'd just let him in anyway. But she wouldn't open the doors for anyone else who just went 'Click'.
I'm assuming Seb is Missy's companion. Male Timelord, typically female companion. Female Timelord, typically male companion.
Now that would have been a kick in the guts.
Clara burns the Keys, the Doctor doesn't say a word, just turns, walks to the doors, they open, now snap, no words, they just part the way for him; then slam shut on Clara.
Well I'll let the Doctor slide on this a little. The last time he encountered a Timelord, or someone like a Timelord was over 900 years ago, and that was River Song. The last full Timelord (that wasn't himself) he was in the same room with was the Master and that was 1,200 years ago when he was the 10th Doctor.
The 12th Doctor is rusty on most things after spending 900 years on Trenzalor. Even though it encounted just about all his enemies there, they were coming to him.
"I should kill you in a jealous rage, now that would be sexy"? Wow. I don't know what Missy's been doing, but that is out there.
Come to think of it, we don't actually know what incarnation Missy is. It would be assumined to be linear after "The End of Time" but time can go where it likes, as can a timelord.
We'll see if UNIT has learned anything since "Invasion" and if they did anything during the other invasion in 1984 ("The Tenth Planet").

Good. Although I could see revising the rating after seeing the conclusion. It's always hard rating the first of a multipart story but this one is particularly tough. I'm not really sure where this one is heading!

So, Missy is the Master. That was one of the top guesses so I wasn't surprised. I prefer that over an Evil Clara echo. We still aren't sure why Missy choose Clara? Was it for the foiled attempt at the beginning of this story? Surely there's more.
Speaking of Clara's attempt to force the Doctor. I really didn't like that sequence and thought the story was heading in a direction I really didn't like. So happy that turned out to be a dream (essentially)! And, the Doctor's reaction really made that a great, positive moment for the story! Very well done!

I guess we don't really know what year this story takes place in. The little we saw looked contemporary, but it doesn't have to be. Maybe the Cyberman have already been around for awhile?

Well in the last episode, "In the Forest of the Night", the Doctor noted the humans of forgetting things. Then again, UNIT has written records, so I would hope that they remember things. I'm curious to see if they remember the Dalek invasion of 2009. We haven't gotten explicit confirmation that Big Bang Two restored that exact part of history although the implication of "The Big Bang" is that it did, and Rusty the Dalek in "Into the Dalek" had memories of it.
