Me and my friends in some Halloween shenanigans. I'm the somewhat manga-looking clown in the orange pigtails. My wig isn't on right though lol. Some of my other friends dressed as characters from the Nickelodeon cartoon Doug LOL.
^ Those are awesome, Queen Arachnia! You all look wonderful, and Halloween shenanigans are my favorite shenanigans, aside from Christmas shenanigans and Easter shenanigans. On a side note, the Doug theme song won't leave my head. Thank you. It's not fair that your selfies look gorgeous, while mine look like a drivers license photo. <waves handkerchief in face> Sorry about that. It's the bean burrito.
The hotel I work at has a Starbucks store opening on Monday, so I've been taking some photos over the last few days to generate marketing collateral:
Got back yesterday from my week long vacation in Williamsburg, VA. Having an interest in American history, it was a very interesting trip! And, of course, I took a ton of pictures. Those Williamsburg photos are fantastic. Williamsburg is a gorgeous place whether you're a history buff or just a random, average tourist and one of the things that makes Virginia a most awesome state.
Thanks! I was actually originally supposed to go to D.C., but with the news that the Enterprise was being removed from the Smithsonian for restoration I put that trip on the back burners. The more I read about Williamsburg, the more I wanted to go so it worked out great! As much fun as Williamsburg was, I think I got the most out of visiting Jamestown. It was very peaceful there and it really felt like you were walking through history because they are preserving history rather than recreating it.
So jealous! I would love to go there someday. Those are great shots of Williamsburg. I'm such a history buff; hubby, however, is not. That just looks like a lovely place for a vacation. I had my little Halloween party on Friday; here are some snaps: My friends, in their Day of the Dead outfits, fancy contact lenses and all.
My elementary school field trip to Jamestown back in fourth or fifth grade was one of the highlights of my first six years in public school. Getting to visit and stand on the site of the first permanent English settlement in the Western Hemisphere was thrilling even for a nine- or ten-year-old kid, especially a history nerd like myself!
I want to go someday. Both members of my thesis committee went to William and Mary, and she did some work at CW. Awwwww! Cute baby pics!!!! The best part of Halloween.
