Just started a re-watch of the original Battlestar Galactica/Galactica 1980 on DVD. I replaced my 2003 DVD set with the stupid DVD-18's with the new single sided disks that came out last spring, and am just now getting around to watching my new set.

I plan on doing the same thing soon with the upcoming complete series releases of Quantum Leap and Sliders (money permitting, it may be a few months down the road). What Universal saw in those double sided DVD-18's is anybody's guess. I had nothing but trouble playing them. I was glad when Buck Rogers was released on single sided disks, and I'm happy they re-did Galactica. Now I'm looking forward to the other two. I hope Earth 2 gets redone that way sometime soon.

I watched "The Warrior's Way" for a second time. Definitely flawed and won't be in my library anytime soon....but it was entertaining.

I plan on watching "Cabin in the Woods"..."Doctor Who"...and "Carrie" (the Chloe Moretz version).

Watched "Blood from the Mummy's Tomb" the other night. A flawed, but interesting, adaptation of "Jewel of the Seven Stars" by Bram Stoker.

Looking forward to the new "Walking Dead" tonight--and, if time allows, "The Man from UNCLE" on MeTV.

Finished Book 1 of The Legend of Korra. It would have been about 1000x better if they'd eliminated 90% of the romance stuff, and made the characters a bit more likeable. I'll see if Book 2 is better.

I watched Burn After Reading last night. Nothing happens for about 3/4 of the movie, then it kind of gets interesting. It wasn't very good, but I don't regret watching it. The actors did a decent job.

Recorded "Rasputin--The Mad Monk" with Christopher Lee last night.

Not sure I've ever seen that one before.
