The pants and jacket look from 2010 was a change JMS added during his run on WW. He was on the WW and Superman in 2010 for 4 issues before jumping ship. When JMS left, the new author changed Wondy's costume back. Then New 52 happened in August 2011 and WW was back to being pantless.

^I want the pants back on Wonder Woman: if they can have Superman without the red Jockeys and Batman without the black, they can have Wondy with pants and a black leather jacket.

They've already given her a Xena costume. And who knows, maybe she will get pants at some point.

Wonder Woman was wearing "Xena costumes" before Xena was.

I found a pic of Gal Gadot in JMS's Wonder Woman costume. Click here.

It is, but it gives you a general idea of what she'd look like.

I'm suddenly getting flashbacks to that 2011 WW pilot with Adrianne Palicki.

Lol....I shoulda maybe said tights, or leggings, or something like that. I just threw pantsuit out generically.

Yeah, I'm sure the outfit was all nice and form fitting. I guess I have a leg fetish. :guffaw:

^ Ah, I see. Sorry, I had overlooked the "JMS" part of the previous post.

Bleedingcool.com is reporting that the first WW movie will be set in the 1920s(!), with a potential sequel set during WWII (WW2 in WWII!). If this is true, then my interest in this film just quadrupled.

Wow, very cool idea if true. And of course consistent with the subtle changes they made to the Superman origin in MOS.

I like how it suddenly makes her story a lot more relevant as well, having her be this crusading female icon back when women were disenfranchised to a much greater degree than they are now.

Yes, cool news indeed! Wonderful setting to utilize. I've often thought I'd like to see a Superman film set in 1938, but the 20s are an inspired choice for Wonder Woman's arrival. I'll be happy to see it happen.

In the lap of squalor I assure you.
In 1921 America had a female president, or at least there was a female controlling presidential power.

    Edith Wilson

Although the hilarious thing about the 20s would be trying to give a shit about prohibition, like how in 20, maybe 10 years from now children in America will struggle to understand how so much of the federal and state budget was dedicated to fighting weed.

Would Wonder Woman stand up for alcoholics against the tyrants in Congress?

Is there hooch on Paradise island?

If Diana likes a warm beer before bedtime, how many men is she willing to cripple to see that that harmless ritual is in no way impeded?

I'm not crazy about the idea of Wonder Woman's career substantially preceding her debut in the comics, but we'll see....

If she first appears in the 1920s, which could be interesting, then is there a big event that happens? A big fight with a bunch of super powers? That is then forgotten about? Or never known about?

Because it seems like in MOS, that Superman is the first time this world is dealing with powers.

But, hey, if it gives them reason to ignore parts of MOS, more power to them.
