Poll: Pick my next SF/F show?

I used to be following all kinds of new SF/F shows. But lately, my list has dwindled to only 2: Doctor Who & Lost Girl. Since both have pretty short seasons (and Lost Girl is ending after Season 5 ), I've got some openings and I thought I'd open myself up to some advice. I need to get back into the (fantasy) world of now!

All of the shows here are ones I've considered for various reasons. (Right now, I'm confining it to shows that have already lasted into at least a 2nd season and are available on DVD.)
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has both the Marvel pedigree and the Joss Whedon pedigree. I'm almost surprised I haven't jumped on this one already but I've been busy and the reviews have been tepid.
Arrow sounds a little dark & humorless for my tastes but I've seen some intriguing clips on YouTube.
Grimm doesn't seem to have attracted quite the same fanatical following that some of the others have. However, IIRC, several of the writers working on it used to do Buffy/Angel. Angel is still my #1 all time favorite show, so that counts for a lot for me.
Once Upon a Time. Could be fantastic. Could be silly. I've heard it both ways.
Orphan Black. Flying a bit under the radar compared to the others but has gotten some fantastic notices.
I haven't heard a lot about Sleepy Hollow but one of my friends is a huge fan.
The Vampire Diaries has definitely demonstrated staying power. Some have compared it to Roswell, which was a guilty pleasure of mine.

So what do you folks think?

Orphan Black is the only one of those I have any plans to watch, personally. I'm a bit burnt out on DCU and MCU, Grimm is a bit meh, The Vampire Diaries has always looked like schlock and the bits of Once Upon a Time I've seen haven't been very impressive. YMMV.

Grimm's pretty good. Haven't been able to catch up with it lately though . Dang it. I'll have to see if I can rent it sometime from the movie store.

I'll be honest... Orphan Black is the only show on your list that I have watched. But since it's great, that'll be my pick!

Of that list, Orphan Black is the best, I think.

For a top three, I'd pick:
Orphan Black
Agents of Shield (although first three or episodes are lame)
Sleepy Hollow

I voted for Agents of SHIELD. It takes a few episodes to get going, but once it gets going its very good. Arrow is another good choice, and while I like AoS a bit more Arrow is more of a hit right out of the gate. I haven't seen any of the other shows.

First, watch ORPHAN BLACK. It's a great show and two short seasons, so you'll be done with it before you notice.

Next I would recommend GRIMM. It's into its fourth season right and is a great show. It has good characters and a solid mythology. And while not 'Ha Ha' funny, it has a good sense of humour.

Next it's a toss up between ARROW and AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. I would try ARROW first simply because I felt AoS was hit and miss throughout the first half of season one. ARROW was much more solid.

After those two, I would recommend ONCE UPON A TIME. OUaT Utilizes a flashback format, much like LOST did. During the first season it filled us in on the back story of our characters. The show had a great first season, a mediocre second season, and improved first half of season three, and then a slip in quality for the latter half of the season. The current season now airing features the characters from the Disney animated film FROZEN if that means anything to you.

The remaining shows on your list aren't bad shows, they just fall below the others I mentioned above.

Grimm takes a season at least to get good.

Once they start sidelining/microsizing the monster of the week stories to explore the larger universe, and core of characters, you become invested and it's all suddenly worth it.

I can't even pin point where in the grey drudge of weekly viewing that I went from half hearted disinterest to liking the series.

Maybe it's when the producer apologized for having a cliff hanger that was too awesome?

(Something terrible got revealed, and then the text runs across the screen "To be continued next summer " then they wait 20 seconds and write "I Know! We're so sorry!" as if they are talking to their fanbase still screaming at the TV "#### you I can't wait till summer!?")

The main guy from Grimm was on Hollywood Game Night, charades-plus with Jane Lynch, and the female Civilian captaining the team he was on, looked at the man like he was a lollipop.

We are talking Young Clooney levels of attractability here.

She was willing to leave her husband for just ten minutes in a closet with this bloke.

AoS gets my vote, like everyone else said it had a bit of a rocky first half of a season but it really came into its own by the end of S1.
I think being able to watch it in a shorter time frame will make for a better viewing experience then following S1 week-to-week.

Grimm! It was kind of meh for the first half of the season, but then the mytharc stuff started to filter in it was great. Also I love the cast, even some of the secondary characters are good

The only reason I watch The Originals is because I'm waiting for the flash back story where they explain how Niklaus inspired the legend/origin of Santa Claus.
