^ Wells is not a character from the comics.
And who told you that?

At least not under that name...
I do find it hard to believe they'd kill off Simon Stagg, of all people, after just one episode. Anyway, William Sadler is a good casting choice for the role. It's rather more off-putting that they cast a black actor as Java, a character who in the comics is a Neanderthal. Even aside from the unfortunate (and presumably unintentional) racial implications, it's kind of backward, since Africans are the one human racial group that doesn't have Neanderthal DNA mixed in.
I hope the flashbacks aren't a constant thing. This show doesn't need them the way Arrow does.

'The Flash': What's the deal with that cryptic final scene with Harrison Wells? The real question, then, is who is Harrison Wells? Wells is not a character name from the comics, so don’t go searching for clues at your local comic book store.
Interesting episode. I don't remember Jamie Madrox being a DC villain.
"Black guy" is currently the default choice when casting a bodyguard. I wouldn't read any more into it than that.^ Wells is not a character from the comics.

wouldn't surprise me at all.Interesting episode. I don't remember Jamie Madrox being a DC villain.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but does anyone thing that Caitlin's dead boyfriend Ronnie will turn out to be one half of Firestorm?
Another really fun and entertaining episode. And I liked how it acknowledged the fact that, despite being able to run really fast, Barry is still seriously lacking in any training and fighting skills (although if all else fails, simply slamming people into a wall at super speed does seem to work pretty well for him). I'm hoping in upcoming episodes we'll actually see him get some of that training.

Madrox and Multiplex are two different characters. Madrox is Marvel.

Sure, it wasn't intentional, but my point is there are some unfortunate implications that they failed to recognize. And it could've been fixed simply by giving the guy a different name. After all, if they were just going to kill him off after two scenes, there was nothing to be gained by naming him after a recurring character from the comics.
Well I know in the comics and cartoons they've always shown Flash having a bit of super strength to go along with the super speed, because of his stronger and denser muscles or whatever.
But ultimately I wouldn't think punching or kicking someone faster would do any more damage than punching or kicking them at normal speed. And if he goes up against a huge bodybuilder kind of villain, I would still think he'd be in over his head when using his own strength (although obviously he'd have time to find all kinds of other objects to hit the guy with).
I've been waiting for news about that. I didn't know it was announced a week ago. It's already been announced that Robbie Amell will be playing Ronnie Raymond and Victor Garber will be playing Dr. Martin Stein.
SourceAlias' Victor Garber is joining The Flash as DC's Dr. Martin Stein - one half of the superhero entity known as Firestorm.
After an accident fuses Stein with S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), he then races to find a way to separate the two before it’s too late. But it's the combination of these two characters that creates the nuclear-powered hero, Firestorm. Garber's Stein will be introduced on the 12th episode of The Flash.
This bothered me too. We've already seen him dance circles around Iris with her appearing almost frozen... Perhaps he can only do it while aroused? Why does Barry slow down to normal speed to fight?
(Quicksilver in Days of Futures past anyone?)
