Is it uncouth to wear a grey bath robe with a black sock?

I like to relax in the evenings while wearing my favorite grey bath robe and a black sock. Please, do not laugh but I find it very comfortable. I like to relax after a hard days work in the items of my choosing.

These are my preferred items.

However, my girlfriend claims that I look very unsightly. She says that the grey bath robe is not a problem but to wear it with a black sock is not good.


I cannot be the only one who likes to wear a black sock with a bath robe. Please tell me that I am not the only one.

I'd echo RoJoHen's comment your at home it shouldn't matter, it migh be a different story wearing a combinition of black and grey outdoors. But you should wear what makes you comfortable not what othes think you should wear.

Please, forgive me. I have a tendency to use the singular. The same goes for trouser. I picked up the habit when I was younger. My father was a tailor. He referred to trousers in the singular. I have applied it to other items since.
