I recently received my August shipment, which included the Ferengi Marauder (#16) and the USS Dauntless (#17). These were two of my least anticipated models, but also included was the dedication plaque, which made the shipment a little more interesting. Now that those are out of the way, I'm very excited to get the next few models including the Enterprise-E, Stargazer, and V'orcha.

A question for fellow US subscribers: Where are you in your subscriptions? I called support a while back and accelerated my shipments, but the rep told me that was as far as I could go. Am I current with other US subscribers or still behind?

You are about 3-4 months behind as far as I can tell. I'm up to #23 (Nebula) and #24 (Xindi Ship), along with the JJPrise special release, as are others here (in the US) based on what I've read. They may be trying to get the manufacturer to back-fill earlier stock that has been since exhausted and 16 & 17 is as far as they've gone. Don't feel bad, though, we're all 3-4 months behind the UK. :)

Thanks for info. The rep said something about a difference in databases. I was hoping that he meant the difference was based on countries, but I think he meant that it was based on the time you first subscribed. I might try again later to see if I can accelerate again then.

Got my Insectoid ship today. I really like it. Been "zooming" all over the house with it.

Shipment also included the mag for the Enterprise special edition that was missing last month. AGT Enterprise-D should show up next month.

I think that model is one of the finest in the whole set.

I got my Prometheus and Tholian ship today. Both have some great detailing and are overall very nice. Unfortunately my Prometheus is defective, so I'll have to wait for a replacement. It appears that the nacelles are comprised of a top and bottom section glued together. The top left nacelle on my ship is missing the top half. Oops!

My only gripe about the Prometheus - the detailing (or lack of) on the under side of the forward saucer section. The whole rest of it rocks. But that one part looks quite... nude?

The Furuta Prometheus, as inaccurate as it now appears to be, seems to have more hull details on the underside of the saucer.

    Anyone else notice this?

I don't have it yet, but to be fair, the original CG model was quite plain in that area as well. This schematic - based on that model - shows how empty that underside forward area is. I don't think it was an intentional omission on the makers of the physical model's part. There was just nothing there to begin with.

Just got billed yesterday, so I should be getting mine early next week. Looking forward more to the Web Spinner than the Prometheus.

Got my Prometheus and Tholian today as well. Got billed Monday, here on Wednesday. Probably quickest turn around yet. Prometheus is very nice. More detail that I thought it would have. The quad nacelles are in a totally different configuration than I though they were. Of course, wasn't all that familiar with the ship to begin with. Also didn't know that the hull was more or less upgraded Intrepid class with quad nacelles. Tholian ship is more detailed than I thought it'd be too. Good thing that they used the ENT version rather than the TOS version.

I'm in Canada and just received my 2nd shipment today; Enterprise refit and Klingon BOP. I'm curious...anyone else in Canada who had a sub from the beginning? What's the most recent issue? Just trying to get an idea of how far behind I am.

You're barely behind at all compared to other Canadians. I "pre-ordered" back in February or March, and they started shipping in May. So far, I have five ships:

    May - Enterprise-D
June - Enterprise Refit & Klingon BoP
    July - NX-01 & Romulan Warbird

But I haven't received anything for August... not sure what's up with that. I guess I'll have to email them and see what's going on. (I never got billed for an August shipment, either, so it's not like it got lost in the mail or something.)

But of course we're well behind the Americans, who are in turn behind the British.

I'm surprised they decided to do Australia (we're up to issue 12) before Canada considering how much easier it would be to start in Canada. They seem to be very haphazard about where they are releasing.

It may be an international licensing issue. We see that nonsense all the time in the BluRay world, and in the DVD world before that, with the region blocking, etc. Case in point, I would love to see Shatner's new documentary on Next Gen. But it's only available on HBO Canada. Shit, I didn't even know their WAS an HBO Canada! So, since I can't find it anywhere here on any of my HBO channels, I try to check it out to see if it's available for streaming on their website as an HBO subscriber and POOF! It's blocked because I'm accessing it from a US domain. I even tried getting in with a site access anonymizer to block my domain location and it still didn't work (I guess it wasn't so anonymous after all). I suppose I could try it with an onion-skin proxy server and bounce my signal around the four corners of the globe, but I don't care THAT much about it to be honest and O/S apps are inherently slow and streaming video would likely be impossible.

Stuff like that happens all the time, I'm afraid. It was largely invisible to the consumer before the internet, but now in a world with no borders and information flows freely, impenetrable fences like that are discovered very quickly, and are a source of great frustration.

Had issue 28 today and my 1st one that's got a part missing :-( I've heard other people's say that they have had issues with some of the ships missing parts or parts broken in the post. [IMG]

That is a nice model! A shame about that spire getting knocked off. It does appear as if it was on there at one point. Looks like they just didn't use enough glue or didn't give it enough time to set. Are you sure it's not still rattling around in the box? It may be reparable.

And y'know - it may be in about the right scale as the Voyager model, as to be able to make a mini-Yeager kit-bash! :D

Battle damage. You know, after the Caretaker grabbed it. Chalotay demoted himself to Lt Cmdr because of it.

Did you or have you been notified of the shipment? I love the days I get the email the same day I get the package.
