When Capaldi was announced I predicted that we would get the Gregory House version of the Doctor, and while it's not exactly what we ended up with, I think it's reasonably close.

I gave it a good but I'd rate it personally as 4.5/5. Another really good episode. At the beginning when the Doctor had a sword fight with a spoon, I though "oh crap, here's the typical Moffat silliness again" but other than that nitpik it was a really good episode, very enjoyable!

The season opener was way too long, but fun. The Delek episode was a nice take on the tired old bad guys.

Then there was this episode, it was so much fun. Clara was great, I wish she was like this since her beginning. Robin Hood I wish went with them in the Tardis because he was so much fun!

Only thing, the open arrow. So the ship get's a golden arrow in it and that fixes the engines because??? But I kind of ignored that.

I was a bit worried going in, but I have to admit this was one silly and ridiculous story that I thought worked really well. It was surprisingly fun seeing this Doctor dropped down into a fairytale world, and reacting grumpily to how bright and colorful and cheery everything was (unlike if it were Smith's Doctor, who would have made everything a little TOO silly). And there was something strangely cool about seeing these two iconic characters meeting as well.

Although Clara never expressing any doubts or curiosity whatsoever about how any of this was possible did seem a bit weird to me. I can kind of see Amy acting this way, believing so strongly in fairytales and being generally a bit nutty. But I would have expected the no-nonsense Clara to be much more aware than that (she might still think it was really cool meeting Robin hood, but she wouldn't get on the Doctor's case for trying to investigate how it could happen).

I may have enjoyed that too much! Laughed manically for an hour. Ending was pretty odd, but it took nothing away from me! Voted down to good if only because of that damned golden arrow!

I gave it an average. That was a bit too self-consciously goofy for me. It was OK but not one I'd watch again.

I find it rather worrying that for the third episode in a row, the writers are riffing on old stories - first we get a retread of The Girl In The Fireplace, and then The Invisible Enemy, and this week it was The Time Warrior. Robot medieval soldier? Check. Spaceship inside a castle? Check. Castle blown up by spaceship trying to take off? Check check check.

And the 12th Doctor is not doing it for me so far; even Tom Baker, at his most weird, distant and alien was capable of occasional flashes of charm and humour. This new guy's just a scowling dick.

I liked it, probably the most enjoyable of the new season so far. Though the Doctor/Robin bickering in the prison cell seemed to go on for a bit too long, I liked pretty much everything. The episode would have felt right at home in the '70s, IMO, and Clara looked fantastic in that red gown. And I too got a Master vibe from Ben Miller in this.

Was that venusian aikido the Doctor used to knock Robin's sword away?

Very Pertwee like just then.
I loved that! "Hie!!" :D

And man, someone really wasn't watching their continuity. i.e. the Tardis door when they meet Robin.

What happened with that? I just re-watched it and still didn't see an issue.

When the Doctor is speaking with Robin, and before Clara comes out of the TARDIS, you can see a sliver of red from her dress along the inside edge of the left door as, I imagine, Jenna waits for her cue to come out.

I gave it a good but I'd rate it personally as 4.5/5. Another really good episode. At the beginning when the Doctor had a sword fight with a spoon, I though "oh crap, here's the typical Moffat silliness again" but other than that nitpik it was a really good episode, very enjoyable!

I thought the spoon seemed very Doctor-y to me, I don't know. I could envision Tom Baker doing something like that. Though it would've been amusing if he had pulled a sword out of his pocket.

Although a fun and light hearted episode, it's probably Capaldi's performance which elevates it to a better standing than what it would have been otherwise. Capaldi had a lot of great moments to really make his Doctor shine humorously, him revealing his arrow at the archery contest and trying to get a urine sample from Robin Hood probably being my favourite

Still, we do get some cool sci-fi moments with alien robots adapting to the local culture and its myths and legends, and even a bit of contemplation on myth vs. reality and an interesting comparison between the Doctor and Robin Hood.

Not the best episode, but a pretty damn fine hour all the same. Although it is a bit irritating that in an episode about Robin Hood, the Merry Men are just there as set dressing. But I suppose there are time constraints, and had they not been there at all that would likely have caused uproars. I guess they couldn't win here regardless what they did.

So, third week in a row we get a Game of Thrones actor being offed. Ser Dontos, then Dolours Edd and now Mace Tyrell. It's almost a theme now!

Well, that was their ship.

Genesis of the Daleks made more sense.

If the rocket was gas core, then the locals would be poisoned by importing pitchblende from Germany.

An arrow of uranium might have added a difference.

Gold is actually useful for circuits.

For those counting Game Of Thrones victims, Robert Goodman in next week's DW was the old Valyrian slave guy in Oathkeeper... Wonder if he'll make it to the end of Listen?!
